hmm, I might have to take more griffons in my seige list...and am happy to get +1 AP on my AA guns!

Excited to give Krieg a go at some point in the future but I'm going to stick with Baran for the London Tourney...unless I can get a similar but far superior list build using the troops i've been painting up.

BEN: I'd be interested to know if your rasberry flavoured dislike for Baran is similar to those of others (boring army to play with/against, constant draws). PM with your thoughts if you'd like.

I would happily echo most of Ben's comments otherwise: especially the Deathstrike Bunker as I feel it's quite a characterful addition. What bugs me most is the Marauder bomber: A WE Bomber would be so much more useful and used more often and has been quite well playtested.

Stormblade and Stormsword: in line with the current FW/GW models, and in line with the new baneblade stats I would strongly suggest changing the 1 AP5 bolter to a twin linked AP4 one: it's just extra book keeping and frustrating to remember!

Fixed commisars is a very worthy move.

Good work lads,
R>

Generally the playstyle is my issue - ignoring the balance issues with the list, I do feel that the Siegemasters are hampered by their intended playstyle - when we set out to write the Krieg list, our main objective was to avoid the mistakes we perceived to have been made with the Siegemasters list.

Those mistakes included but were not limited to:
- Activation spam***
- General lack of movement
- A mostly "reactive" rather than "pro-active" playstyle
- Lack of awesome moments both as the Siegemasters player and the opponent
- A general homogeneity of (winning) Siegemasters army lists, moreso than any other Epic army

***which, before the Siegemasters downgrades, if played in a certain manner was truly game-breaking rather than just kinda overpowered

Aye. I'll be quite surprised if Marauders become a commonly seen formation @250pts.

Keeping the current stats but making the Squadron 125pts for 1 Marauder would have been a viable alternative if EUK didn't want to use the well-playtested and generally well-regarded WE Marauder @150pts (I've never heard anyone complain about its balance, in fact, which much be close to unique in Epic!).

Thanks, I'm going to give a Baran army which requires a 'push' a go at london, but haven't sat down yet and given a good going over the new EuK krieg options that I might have.

I need to look more closely at the remainder of the Codex, but the changes that were made to the Vanaheim are in the right direction. I had come to the conclusion that the Fire Support and Infantry Platoon upgrades were overpriced independantly during my (currently stalled) look at a drop list, and had settled where you did pricewise.

Making the Reg HQ not the BTS got harder for Vanaheim, that extra 25 points for added a fire support platoon to a company made it easy :)

I'd already given up on that particular issue. It's never seemed to be enough of a problem to worry myself over.
