Hi. Another question about the upcoming Epic A game. I've got moderate sized forces for the following armies under the old 'Space Marine" ruleset, Ultramarines, Imperial Guard, Titan Legions, Orks and a few Eldar/Tyranids. I was looking to bulk some of these forces out a little, but I need to know roughly how the EpicA force structural works. Space Marine was very rigid, Epic40K very flexible, what's EpicA going to be like? I just don't want to buy two IG Hellhounds and find out they need to come in groups of three or something similar!

I dont know what space marine was like, but I think EpicA is similar.
The formations are pretty rigid. For example, space marine tactical units are bought in formations of 6 stands. 4 for devs, assault and termies. Land Raiders are in fours, Predators etc are in 3's I think.
Orks are a warboss, 4 Nobz and 8 boyz. With extras available in the quantities of 5 (which can be pure boyz, or a mixture including stormboyz etc.) Trukks and buggies are in 5's and same for upgrades. Stompas in 3's battlewagons 2's and fortresses are a single unit.
Imperial Guard vehicles are mainly in threes when bought as upgrades. Formations of Lemans are in 9's.
Hope this helps a little.

Thanks, that's very useful. In fact, EpicA seems very similar to Space Marine in the kind of formations you use.

I was tempted, but I don't really have the time even to try the mini game they ask you to do first. Maybe after my uni terms and my time temping at Vodafone ends, I might be able to give it a go. Then again, I'll probably just get swamped by all those things I keep putting off 'til then

I will see what it finally goes for. Perhaps I can convince him to buy some of my stuff...

That is just so sad. $41.00 for what amounts to left overs.
The troop sprue and the vehicle sprue are both still available through US Mail Order for $3.50 each. The Dreads are $2.00 each and the Pred is $3.00 and the Razorback is $3.50 so let's see, the stuff on that auction could have been bought from Games Workshop for less then $20 USD.
So for the $41 I could get 2 troop sprues, 1 vehicle sprue, the three Dreads, a full Pred formation (4), five Land Speeders, and still have about $2.50 left over.
Just Sad... Dafrca.
