Hey chaps,
@jimmyzimms yes it's been a while since I registered
A couple of the chaps who are our principle playtesters recommended I joined when we started the project but as you rightly pointed out its been a while since we started this, the was essentially down to me leaving the country to follow my wife who works overseas, so been traveling quite a bit which caused a lack of focus, but we have got here in the end.
I'm not sure if we'll have a developers diary, but I can certainly answer any questions that you may have, I'm John Robertson the creative director and one of the concept designers, along with Wayne England. But we will certainly have a workbench up soon on the site so you can see WIP of various aspects of the game and when the KS starts we'll have daily updates as to the progress as we have a lot of stretch stuff in the pipe that we've started developing now.
Rules wise we're gonna stick up a set very shortly along with armylists so folk can get stuck in and started asking awkward questions
Thanks for the kind words Ben much appreciated fella
@ Nitpick well open to any sort of discussion here, in fact our playtesters are regulars here and I am sure they'll chime in at some point, they identified this a the place to be. I myself started way back in the 70s with WRG WWII 1/300th scale Heroics and Ross were the company of choice then, well until we found GHQ
I love the scale fro me it offers so many more tactical choices than 28mm games, oddly I've produced many of those but this game is very close to my heart so hopefully that'll come over in the product.
@Craigm999 yes its set in the Draconis Alba Galaxy, which started with Void in 2000, and was developed further in 2004 to the present in the Urban War game. We've set the timeline back a few hundred years before First Contact with the alien Koralon and the Iskandrians so that we could focus on 4 factions. That is not to say that the timeline will not advance as the product line rolls out as the first incarnation of Iskander and the contact with the Koralon are just around the corner.
And thanks for the kind words on the art, much appreciated
Anyway chaps much obliged for your replies and interest, we'll be previewing the Junker vehicles last thing today, these will be the digital versions in a viewer called SketchFab which will allow you to orientate the model to give you a good impression of what it looks like.
Look forward to chatting to you folks more and I'll certainly give you a heads up once we have rules to peruse, cheers lads
