Hi all.
I'm Atcho, and after a 20 year hiatus, i've fallen back into epic in a big BIG way.
My good mate "Jimthewookie" has a thread up showing his foray into painting the Imperial Fists SM Legion, and his excellent showing has shamed me into following suit. (OK Jim - You win).
http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=29022As none of us in our small group seem to be able to do things by steady, small and manageable amounts, before we had even dropped a die in an epic game I had already amassed 10000pt of Necron's and close to the same amount of Ad Mech Skitarii. Now im even brancing into the Xth legion so to say we were broken would be an understatement - but if your reading this I'd take a punt and say you probably have the very same affliction.
We've been following and been inspired by the work of some great Epic gamers and collectors in OZ after visiting the local Castle Assault Epic comp in Newcastle last year, or our numerous trips to Cancon, where we can be found drooling over everyone's armies at the epic tables or generally just standing in your way! Our goal now is to get of our arses and start gaming at the local club.
So... The Ad Mech. The original idea was "Every one builds AMTL, so ill build the squishy bits of the AM - no one else is running that, and I like the colour Red - So I'll build it"... but this has since grown in to a sickness that results in "I don't need that figure - but its cool - So im buying it. Now how can I make it fit in my lists!" Also, Vaaish's thread was a source of great inspiration, as was the whole AM sub forum.
