Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has an opinion on GHQ's microarmor. I recently decided to start Epic A but I usualy favor massive battles rather than 3000 pointers, and as such, I need lots of minis. The prices for some of the new epic releases seem to be a bit prohibitive, do you think it would seem out of place to use microarmor alongside regular epic minis? Also, is microarmor good qualtiy? It appears they are from the pictures on the site.

Hi!
GHQ are the "cadillac's" of 6mm WWII gaming. The quality and detail on them are top notch, there's nothing better. They are more expensive though than compared to C-in-C, Heroics and Ros or Irregular.

Primarch is correct, however, IMO they are generally a little small next to most Epic models. I'm not a real fan of "massive" battles, around 4000 points basically works for us. I'm not sure if E:A lends itself easily to 6000-7000 point battles. I could be wrong. Time is always a consideration.

Epic is very WW2-ish. Maybe that is why I like it so much !

Thanks for all the replies! I may just start buying the GHQ minis as painting practice for the US release of the epic models. Now I just need to work on getting some terrain...

Hi!
Thats why I am adapting the net epic system for WW2. It fits the era well.

I find irregular to be a bit closer to Epic scale. They are no way the same quality, but a lot cheaper, and they have some very interesting things like crews, figs sitting on tanks, trucks with the trays filled with troops etc
A reasonable paintjob does wodners for apperaance in this scale anyway and can overcome some casting issues, especially in the quantities you seem to be talking

Hi Sarius,
I really like 6mm minis and GHQ makes incredible models, but...
They also have the highest price in the market. Because of this, I'd rather buy Scotia minis or one of the other brands.

The above web site has an incredible links gallery and you can find anything you want there. I run it along with some people from this group and some other groups.
I really recommend checking out the "6mm sci-fi manufacturers" links folder.
Cheers and Shabbat Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
