What a cretin. What's really bugging me is than on ebay there are quite a few people putting items on at a ridiculous price. I suppose if people didn't buy items at inflated prices then they wouldn't be able to sell them... Annoying though because I'm trying to add quite a few peices to beef up my armies and will be putting them to use in future battles (which will feature right here battle report fans!).

The one that's really annoying me is the greater daemon Mortarion, I refuse to pay £15 for a single miniature!

Play the long game my freind. Every now and again you get your win for less than you might think.

Have your price and stick to it. I am yet to win a Hellbore, its been 7 ebay years now ! (Though in this case I may just have to bite the bullet soon...they are not getting cheaper) !

Just for the sake of interest and comparison, I added up the OOP Chaos I bought off ebay over the last year or so and it came to about £250 plus postage. Some was new in blister and I went nuts in a few bidding wars. Most i payed was £85 for two Questors... :o Total was about 15 blister pack equivalents all up.

2 Khorne Lord of Battle
4 Brass Scorpions
4 Hellfire Cannons

2 Plague Towers
8 Contagion Engines

2 Questor
2 Subjugator
6 Hellknights

I also bought 9 Doomwings, 3 Firelords and 4 Silvertowers off a New Zealand auction site for under £50 in 2010 or so. Equivalent of another 8 blister packs.

Cheers for the advice Dogtrooper! I'm trying to stick to my guns but it's tricky! And yep, I've noticed the Hellbore's are more than just a bit on the pricey side!

I'm interested to see how much this one ends up going for (but don't worry, I'm not bidding!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Epic-40k-Impe ... 2a2510c682

I had spotted that Lord of Battles lot as well - totally bonkers! I managed to get one a month or two ago for about £15. At the time I thought it was a bit pricey but now it's looking like a bit of a bargain!

Drop pods are another item that I think are always overpriced. I'm thinking of building some of my own representations from scratch...

From what I can tell, an unopened DP is slightly larger than a standard infantryman, therefore I'm guessing I need to get an 8mm sphere. I should be able to shape a few out of left over filler (after my recent defences build) without much trouble. But building open DPs may be more tricky! They look to be slightly wider than one of the old fashioned square infantry stands that I still use.

Has anyone else tried something like this? Did they have much success?

I've made scratch open drop pods, but not spherical ones:

You are a braver man than me for adding up your ebay wins. But in all reality I suppose I have spent similar over the years on rare items/biding wars etc. On avarage the old IG (green) boxs ive bought must add up to £300 alone.

The going price is the going price after all. And its worth it when your win is sitting on your desk !

I don't need to tell you how cool those are...Oh Ok, those drop pods are very cool.

Drop pods do hold their price, I only got some (10 or so) in a large lot, they were'nt even in the picture so I was very chuffed.
