Anyone playing epic in York?

Would be interesting playing with someone that knows the rules (although we are slowly getting there).

Hey Evil - I would be more than happy to enter into combat with you :)

York is a beautifull city and just the right size for me. London pissed me off with having to drive 2 hours just to get out!

York you can go out on the lash in the city and then walk or cycle home. Also plenty of young girls too silly to feel cold walking around in short skirts etc. Makes for beautifull scenery ;)

I live between Leeds and Hudderfield, so not a million miles away from you. At the moment am out of work so funds are a bit tight for petrol, but might be able to do something in New Year.

Cheers

James

If you're up north AgeingHippy (i'm a young one...) then you might be interested in coming along to the UK epic GT iin a couple of months to meet everyone?

Tournament play isn't everyone's cup of tea but from my experience all of the folks I've met at EpicUk (and other indie) tournaments have been thoroughly lovely people :-)

Also talking from PERSONAL experience it's a great way to brush up on the game too as you'll soon be soundly trounced but given lots of helpful advice as you go!

Alternatively all the way down south we have the BWW2012

Ba humbug :(

I am flying to South Africa for a much needed 3 week holiday on Saturday the 26'th. (2 weeks in the Kruger Park and a week in the Cape :) )

It would have been really great to have joined you guys for a weekend of war.

Nevermind, maybe next time.

As Man of Kent suggests, the Bristol gaming weekend is also coming up soon (January).

I will reiterate that just turning up to a tournament to say hi to people is a great experience, and lets you know what to expect for the future.

Hello AgeingHippie

My friend and I (who have both been gamers since the 1980s) have recently got into playing EA. I have Guard, he has Eldar and Marines. We usually play on Saturdays and occassionally through the week - my friend lives in Acomb and I live in a village near Selby. We also play a wide variety of other wargames as well. We'd be happy to meet other Epic gamers.

Regards - Russ
