This project originally began as a physical model in 40K scale, but due to running out of time and money was put aside until recently when I saw E&C's lovely little printed tanks and got inspired to re-start in digital:

Here's the head within the top section of carapace. Havn't gotten any further yet so this is it so far:

This is very exciting jonluke!  Looks brilliant so far, love that sweeping carapace concept.

What are you basing the model on?  Is it going to be a cross between the old mk2 warlord with the design aesthetics of the new 40k warhound?  Any elements of the Epic scale Lucius Warlord?

That sweeping carapace to me is evocative of the old epic scale warhound and obviously the new Mars and Reaver carapaces.

Have you got any sketches to give us an idea of where you're going with it?

Good work but shouldn't the carapace be much broader? For now it looks like an upscaled different design of the Mars Warhound/Reaver. I wonder where the carapace weapons will go.

Be interesting to see where this goes, looks great :) . Reminds me of the old reaver so far.

The shape began from the current epic lucius warlord and the sketch of the 40k lucius warlord in the apocalypse rulebook, converted to be more reminiscent of the Mars pattern Reaver and Warhound.
The Carapace is sectioned, so the breadth is extended by seperate pieces of armour plating:
The two "shoulder" pieces of armour in this image are housings for the carapace weapons systems - as with the current Lucius epic wearlord shoulders.
The head is base on a couple of the OLD beetle-back warlord heads and a mix of reaver and warhound styles. There are going to be a few different designs, as with the old beetlebacks, also very tempted to make a corvus head.

That looks great JL, those contours are lovely.

I'm guessing they'll be weapon mounts underneath those 'shoulders' as well as on top, to match the Lucius?

Modified Engine Shape and redesigned the rear of the body section a little - still work in progress on this though.
