Hi there. I have recently started a pre-heresy Marine force (see here) and I'm hoping to track down a few vehicles to finish it off. The pre-heresy artwork from GW's Collected Visions book tends to have the pre-heresy/heresy-era vehicles looking like the ones from the Epic40K period, so I'm looking to track down any of these that people are happy to part with (preferably UK based). The stuff I'm after at the moment consists of:

Land Raiders (the plastic ones from the box set) - at least 1
Whirlwinds (as above) - at least 2
Land Speeders (the metal Epic40K ones) - at least 5

I'd certainly be interested in any of the metal predators from the same period as well.

Oh, and one of the old plastic SM bikes, and a couple of SM Librarians or Chaos Marine Sorcerers would be great too.

Trade would be ideal, though paypal would be fine. I have a bunch of old Space Marine-era stuff I'm happy to part with... various stuff from the old squat, chaos, and imperial guard plastic sprues, some metal squat and eldar vehicles (including termites, gyrocopters, goliath mega-cannon, land train, an eldar tempest and a couple of deathstalkers and probably one or to other bits and bobs I can't remember).

Anyway, crossed fingers someone can help...

Unfortunately I don't have any of the things you're looking for but if you decide to sell any of your spares I would be interested in Squat HearthGuard and any Chaos Warriors, Beserkers, Havoc's that you might have spare.
Good luck with the army!

Thanks mate,
Steve.

So if my 1st edition models fought your pre heresy ones would it be pre heresy vs pre pre heresy? :)

Can't help with the havocs and bezerkers I'm afraid, my chaos stuff is from the previous sprue. I can probably help with the hearthguard though... I'll try and have a dig around some point over the next week or so and see how many I can find.

@The_Real_Chris:
Nah, would just mean your marines had older equipment! There are examples of the older style vehicles and so on in the artwork as well, e.g.:

The pre-heresy Land Raiders look like the old Space Marine/Titan Legion ones. I have some lead multiparts lead ones in a box.

Collected Visions Art Book is a great book for all the pre-heresy stuff :)

I've got all it that stuff, just have to check if it gives me odd numbers though. Stuff like the land speeders I am happy to swap for 4th edition speeders. Will check numbers of Raiders and whirlwinds. Shame you don't want 1st ed as I have over 500 1st ed plastic vehicles.

@ Scream: Cheers for the offer, but I have plenty of the Space Marine era Land Raiders. The artwork actually has examples of all three versions of the LR - the original version, the Epic 40K/Forgeworld Pre-Heresy version, and the latest one. I decided to go for the second option as I've never been a fan of the original Land Raider design.

@ Llew - Thanks for the effort nonetheless. I might still be interested if I can't get hold of them anywhere else and if you think they could be re-undercoated and repainted without looking dreadful.

@ The_Real_Chris - Ooooo, promising! I have all of the Space Marine era stuff I'm likely to want for the moment unfortunately. Let me know once you've done a count and we'll see what we can work out

Any help with any Chaos and Squat infantry would be really helpful.  :)

Yeah, I've inherited some to and don't know what to do with them.
Until I can think of a possible use for them I'd have to pass, but thanks for the offer mate.
