So the talk over on another thread about board games made me wonder, what was your first War Game?
Me, I started out with Panzer Blitz and Feudal. Branched out to other AH WWII games, then I found Ogre. SciFi became my favorite genre.

I think I ?played Bloodbowl and Classic battletech even before I knew what wargaming was.
oh does sending little green army men and GI joe figures to their untimely end using BB guns, gasoline, and cats count.

Hi,
Heroquest and Space Crusade, closely followed by Space Hulk and Dark Future.
That is unless you count Subbuteo as a War Game.

My first was AH's Luftwaffe, which was a little too complex when I bought it when I was about 11. I then bought some of the less complex AH games like Afrika Korps, Gettysburg and Kriegspiel. I started playing Risk about this time, too.
My first game with minis was Adeptus Titanicus which my best friend gave to me as a birthday gift shortly after it was first released. So i guees you could say that it's all his fault I became an epic addict! ?

Mostly AH and SPI, in the '70s. But as I was getting out of the Army ('90) ... I bought Space Hulk and then SM1 !

Well, in the strickest sense, Chess and Stratego are War Games, so Yes they do.
However, if they did not pull you into this hobby, I would say tell us not your first, but the game that started you down the path to Darkness, um, I mean becoming a War Gamer.
