Ok, I'll bite the new thread - T06G stuff, of course, but I couldn't resist having a dab at one of the Tau BFG GW SG Orca spaceships not landers (there, that should make it clear which model it is?) which was part of my last ebay win (and I've been off ebay 3 months now, not bad!) (well, other than to send feedback and see the occasional pic you people send links to). Then I'd painted a single space marine in a new test scheme for a new chapter (what else) - the Ice Guard - followed by a test scout with a different approach. I also planned a Mordheim Averland warband, and I'll dig out the models when I feel brave enough. The small-number-of-models class of SG games have a lot in their favour!:D

Just so y'all didn't think I was slacking....

Out of interest, d'you think the basing method works with the camo scheme?

I'm working on starting a Chaos and Tyranid army (apprentice primarchdom hath its responsibilities...) and as a result went on a ebay spree. Let's see how many auctions I win.  :;):

It seems working in larger scales has helped to re-ignite some interest in epic scale painting!

Still havent done anything more to my Space wolves, but I've done a couple of random Ultramarine pieces (started as a commission test, but I then added details & have done the character... really should have spent thetime on the wolves...)

The character is from the new marine character pack. I just removed some of the iconography (including the crux terminatus which I initially mistook for a black Templars insignia - D'oh!) & painted him blue. Quite pleased with the cloak deatails though - pretty simple, but it was effective for a quick job :D

Completed work on programming the SCBtrans, the SCB--TXT converter I mentioned yesterday. Works on full auto.

Next thing to do is going back to SCBmaker and improving it.

My earphones began breaking down. Got several old pairs on my shelf, found a decent length of stereo cable and a stereo mini-jack plug. Bring forth the soldering iron...

Dysartes: Nice job. For the base I suggest that you paint the static grass with some thinned down Brown/black mix to tone down the green a bit. As it is the green is pretty harsh.

Tuff: Lovely work on the Terminators. The freehand detailing on the cloak is really impressive.

I myself have been working on my Cadian army. I'd completely forgot just how nice a model the mk1 Basilisk is. Really a shame that they chose to replace it for SM2.

Still need a few details  such as company markings but these can wait for now.

Cheers! :)

Nice arty, Warmaster; Tuffskull - the UMs are terrific, as usual of course. Dysartes - nice colours - the grass is bright, but I disagree with Warmaster - although the aim of camo is to blend the object with the terrain (i.e. the base), it's also intended to break up the object's shape, and the Sentinels camo works. Anyway, if the Sentinel strays into green areas from the normal terrain, I wouldn't expect the pilot to do a quick paint-job replacement. Anyway, I like it - serves to add a spot of contrast to the drab, military Sentinel. :D

Very nice work Warmaster.
Quite strangely, its an almost identicle paint job to the one I've been using on my "lunchbreak IG" army.....

I wasnt going to post any pictures until the next MB update, but I thought I should post one, in case I get accused of stealing paint schemes }:)

Nice RT WMN.
Green colur scheme looks great for units that would be way behind front line and thus would n't need camo.

I actually prefer the Manticore Mk2 and Bassie Mk2 to either their AT Mk1 or E40k Mk3 counterparts.

Cheers

James

Hmmmmm, lots of loverly models, I like the basing Dysartes, though it does look as if it has strayed from an urban environment, it's found the park :D
Personally I love the plain green scheme, lots of my vehicles are similar, and the arty and Tuffs look great.
I've still been chopping, really have to organise the camera though tonight is not the night, I've a parent/teacher meeting to go too :(

Hehe, well you know... "Great minds" etc.... :D
The dark green is a nice simple colour to work with. I've chosen monochrome colourschemes for much of my newer IG simply because I grew tired of doing camouflage for my main IG army, the Tallarn.

Nice RT WMN.

Yup. Also I think it has a nice WWII US army feel to it which ties in nicely with the idea that 40k IG is WWII style tactics with futuristic weapons.

I actually prefer the Manticore Mk2 and Bassie Mk2 to either their AT Mk1 or E40k Mk3 counterparts.
You Heretic! :D :p :;):

Cheers! :)

Well, a new conversion for the 1000sons list prompted by Neal elsewhere. It's a bit small for a Warp Palace, a bit big for a Silver Tower, so I'll call it Tzeentch's Legless Hula Dancer... :(
