Mega project I am working on at the moment:
Acting Captain Wulf (HerEm) 1 4 5 5 4 4 2 5 3/4 8 4+ 1 65 General; Units within 12" may use General's Leadership; P1stol; Range 8", St4, -2 AS, No Pen for Move or Rng.; Full Plate Armor; Heinrich Wulf, Sergeant of the Stirland blades. Ambidexitrous, skilled with the long sw0rd.
Konrad Schlutz (Sorc) 1 4 3 3 3 3 2 3 1 7 1 1 1 60 Magic Level 1; +1 dice to casting and dispel pool. Has 1 spell.; Lore of Shadow; Miscast Table; Mage, on his journeyman year travelling the Empire and seeking practical experience for his magical arts. He has more swagger than ability. Right handed.
17 x Stirland Miltia () 17 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7 5+ 1 231 Spear; 2 ranks in HtH if static; Light Armour; Shield; +1Sv w/ handweapon in HtH, conflicts with 2-handed/extra weapon; Standard; +1CR; Musician; +1CR if tied; +1 Ld in rally attempts. 1 x Sergeant Ruger () 1 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 2 7 5+ 1 [10] A grizzled veteran, somewhat annoyed at being placed under the command of an ex-sergeant half his age.
5 x Edwins Hunters () 5 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7 1 [40] Skirmish; Normal Bow; 24", S3 hit; Taking up the armour from a ransaked patrol, the Stirland Hunters are the last survivors of there village. Joining with Wulf and Schlutz they seek vengence for the massacre which led to Otto Von Vasternachs capture.
5 x Kramers Hunters () 5 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7 1 [40] Skirmish; Normal Bow; 24", S3 hit; Taking up the armour from a ransaked patrol, the Stirland Hunters are the last survivors of there village. Joining with Wulf and Schlutz they seek vengence for the massacre which led to Otto Von Vasternachs capture.
5 x Stirland Guards (Kngt) Inner Circle; Barding; Lance; +2S on charge; Full Plate Armor; Shield; +1Sv w/ handweapon in HtH, conflicts with 2-handed/extra weap0n; Warhorse; The knights in charge of the personal protection for the son of Stirlands Graf, Otto Von Vasternach. Since his capture, they have vowed to travel with Heinrich Wulf and Konrad Schlutz to recover him.
So far I have painted up the hunters (who are two detachments attached to the Spearmen) and the knights are 95% done (just faces and shields to do). Spearmen are being done at the mo then characters. Then the next 500 point block.
I have been working on the knights for a while - which just shows how long it takes me to get round to painting :S. Some of you might recognise the characters from the Tides of Darkness fiction I did.

For those with WH I am facing Bretts... unfortunately the army lacks anything that can counter high armour saves or monster characters... bugger...

Well, well, well, Warhammer Fantasy - a rare fish inthese waters. What size army, Netepic? And (spoilsport) are you sure you can have two hunter entries in your list, or is my memory messed up? Small units, Lore of Shadows - hmm, lots of interfering little groups of men and DHL spells to get in everybody's way, right?

The archers are hunters by name only, the army organisation is as follows:
1 block of 18 spearmen including champion, standard and musician. The regiment is bolstered by the general and a grey wizard. The regiment also has two archer detachments of 5 men each, the idea being that if the spearmen are charged the detachments can stand and shoot at the attackers ADDING to the combat resolution of the spearmen (who will be fighting in two ranks anyway with a hero, wizard and champion in the front ranks (although I am tempted to leave the wizard out of the regiment and have him wonder round the ranks interfering with the Brettonian plans. If the archers are charged then the other detachment can stand and shoot and the spearmen can flank charge them gaining a bonus to the combat res.
The knights are to hang on one flank and harass the enemy by luring him towards the main block or attacking small units/flanks. They are disposable.
The army is 500 points. Tempted to add Felix and Gotrek for the next 500 point block... but that is kinda cheesy... will more likely add 10 handgunners (for AP shots) and a large block of swordsmen with full command, probably another 5 knights to turn the reg into a proper killing machine.

Hi Netepic, I'd go for the gunners and more knights too. I've been toying around with a full metal army for the Empire - all cannon and knights. Umm - more cheese, I'd say. Cheers, JOhn

Yeah - problem is, I am modelling a Stirland army which is mean't to be poor and low tech... and also incorporates Sylvanian forces (Sylvania is a province of Stirland) so I am trying to keep knights and blackpowder weapons to a minimum :S.
A regiment of ten hgunners seems mild however, a cann0n shouldn't have that much effect against the small mounted Brett formations.

Well, preparing to make two new paint purchases today.
Thinking to do some conversion work on the backpacks of the Sisters, replacing the Fleur-de-lys symbol with skull on one and the ][ on the other, leaving the last one with bog-standard fleur-de-lys.
During the weekend I will have to go and contact one person on subject of computer parts, maybe after all I suffered with it recently I'll get my PC up and running somehow.
WHHHHOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM..... Psyched and ready...

Hi Netepic, unless something terrible happens, ten handgunners could be horribly harmful - now worries about Stirland background, they're posh chasseurs, right?

LOL, funny you should say that mate. Thanks to you & that BF1942 Mod you introduced me to, I've found a growing interest in that area of the war. Now that I've got a playable force in the form of my soviets, I'm trying to find some info to put together a Finnish army list & start finding some suitable models.
However, funds wont allow for such spending for a good long while yet, so I'm not even going to start writing the list until I can afford to start buying miniatures again - I know I'll get carried away ?
