Hi all, Well, yesterday and part of today were spent think-tanking (or tank-thinking, perhaps) with the mechadendrites, and we've come up with a picture of how it should look. Now although I'm an Enginseer my drawing is terrible, and graphodendrite takes Sundays off. So you'll have to excuse the attached sketch - especially the front elevation, which looks like Thomas the Tank Engine. Incidentally - all you people out there who can draw - will we ever get to see sketches and drawings of your work? If yes, we could even have a drawing forum. Although I'd prefer to post sketches of projects in the modelling forum.
Back to the Krawla - you'll see that I got off part of the work by eliminating the rear end of the sub: who needs a propeller and sub engines when you're on land?
I know now what to use for the hull and the track; I still have to scrounge up all weapons, the conning tower, and the face up front. But I've got ideas for these too. cheers all.

Hi,
That picture reminds me of the Bullet Bill things from Super Mario games.
My Krawler is still sat in bitz until I can get hold of the last remaining pieces. Will be nice to see how different they are when complete. Good luck with the project.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Hi!
I'm really interested in seeing how you accomplished this. The scetch looks real good and it will be awesome when done.

Hi all, important question: in the stat line for the Krawla Gargant weapons, the last weapon in the pdf has no name, and is just marke 'and' (!? ) Any idea what this should be? Thanks.

Hi,
It's the same for the Kustom Gargant. Take a look through the rulebook to see if there's anything the same range/firepower, etc. Ask on SG forum too.
Nice WIP too.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Thanks Freshmetal, and good luck with yours. Here's the first (poor) pic of work in progress. The old style Vindicator is there for scale; the yellow bits are props, and not part of the Krawla. Ny current philosophy is to build something which looks like a sub and then work out a Gargant from it.

Very interesting ... a sub on tracks ... only an Ork would think of something like that ...

I can't wait to see more WIP pics.
Re: Drawings; I'm not much of an artist but I could post a pic of my Ironhammer ( a squat tank in the Net Epic armylist). IF I found a scanner, that is.

UPDATE Last two days have been a bit overloaded; work should recommence over the weekend. But I've solved the track problem definitely (er - I think! - I still have to find the bits in my myriad boxes of stuff). Now it's time to start worrying about weapons...:
Worry schedule: 1 - concept - OK 2 - important concept details (sub,tracks) -OK 3 - major structural bits - OK 4 - other bits - (a) tracks (OK?) (b) guns © close combat weapons 5 - details 6 - funbits (including orkification) 7 - colour scheme!

UPDATE - multiple troubles - the track bits I had in mind had already been used in another project - doh! - but I devised something else instead. And - the plastic glue I'd been working failed to work well on the drain pipe (!) which is the main hull of the Krawla: result - a couple of evenings ago I got the Krawla out to work on it and found it dismantled! The funny thing is it worked for around a week, then suddenly gave up the ghost. It is slightly warmer again here, so maybe that's the problem. Anyway - - redo from start!
