Thanks Jimbo, you put things very aptly in that last post...
Now, enough grumbling methinks, and more painting....

The point of the Battleforce category is to show a force of Epic miniatures. In other words the coherency of a group of miniatures rather than an individual unit.
If I then choose to submit the pic of only some of the minis would it then be legal to post pics of the rest elsewhere on the forum (or anywhere else for that matter)? | That would break the rules of the single picture and no discussion.
Can I then post all the pics I want of the other two elsewhere? |
In terms of posting pictures of similar yet not the same miniature entered into the comp, though this does not in theory break the rules, it does go against the spirit of the rules and I as organiser and judge would probably disqualify your entry without hesitation.
Once the competition is over you can post as many pictures as you like.

another "rule" question about battle force : I plan to put an entry there, but as i did spend a LOT of time on it, i would like to show some details; but the one picture rule prevent me from putting a group pic and then add a close up of some units. (and i must say i find it a bit disapointing, as i think a 100+ hours of work would deserve a bit of details).
But : Would i be able to enter my battleforce in the BF category, and enter its commanding unit, close up shot with details showing, in the single miniature category, providing it's not present in the BF pic ?
And/Or, if i enter my BF with a WarEngine, would i be able to enter a similar warEngine (same model, same scheme, but still with easily visble differences) in the titan Category ?

The Battleforce category is not a detailed unit category, it is there to show what epic looks like on the battlefield, a large number of units. There are are other categories for super-detailed units if required and there is the open category.
After the competition is OVER you can post more detailed pictures if you want then. Would i be able to enter my battleforce in the BF category, and enter its commanding unit, close up shot with details showing, in the single miniature category, providing it's not present in the BF pic ? | If the commanding unit is NOT in the BF category picture then yes you could enter the commanding unit in the single unit category. if i enter my BF with a WarEngine, would i be able to enter a similar warEngine (same model, same scheme, but still with easily visble differences) in the titan Category ? |
If it is a different model then yes you will be able to do this.
I do appreciate (by the number of questions) the one picture rule is quite strict, but it is the rules. No one is forced to enter the competition and everyone who does must abide by the rules.

i understand the need for the "one picture only" rule; i was not trying to discuss this, but just to clarify certain possible side question about it (can i enter unit from the same battleforce (well, from the same battleforce in the sense that they all belong to my army) providing that each unit do not appear on more than one entry.
You've made your answer pretty clear, thank you.
well, i found another couple of questions : If i take photos of my minis on a certain piece of terrain that belong to my board, is it possible to have the same item of terrain entered in the terrain category ? i suppose the answer is "no", but well, this would clarify this type of issue definitely, so...
And, can i enter a whole gaming table in the terrain category, or is it only restricted to terrain features ? i ask because i'm doing a "section-based" modular table where a lot of terrain features are built in the sections, so i wonder if i could enter a whole section in the comp.
Thank you for the clarifications !
