New year, new project. I reached out to Hydra Miniatures after seeing their new 10mm retro sci-fi game, Atomic Tank, to see if they were interested in me running some demos for them at a local con. Matt was all in so here we are. I'm making good progress with the Robot Legion. The Warbots and Centurions are done, and everything else needs the orange and metal highlights. I'm hoping to finish them by the end of the week to get the Galacteer infantry done by next week to run a demo for the guys.

I finished up the painting on the Robot Legion tonight. I'll hit them a gloss coat tomorrow, then get them on bases for the demo. I'm going to try and match a yellow desert mat I have for the basing, so that's on hold for a week or two while I figure that out.

I've been working on the Galacteer Infantry this weekend. They're taking a bit longer than the Robot Legion as I don't think I can get away with just washes and dry-brushes on them. I need to do the black, white and metal still. Not sure what I'm going to do with the weapons yet. The 32mm versions have metal weapons. I make do them white instead.

I'm going with the white guns on the Atomic Tank Galacteer Infantry after everyone weighed in. It's definitely time consuming. I got three hours of painting in tonight and managed to basecoat everything as well as finish the white on the regular infantry. The heavy infantry is next, then it's just a few metal spots and they're good to get top coated.
