Usually the models I've got from FW have been pretty nice with only minor problems. The weird thing is just that so many of the models in that order had problems -over 75%! On the other hand it did have the advantage that it got me converting on FW models (sacriledge I hear you say! :p -at least it sounded that way to me!)

Cheers! :)

Finished the Gotterdammerung artillery pieces. Stil need a paint job but I'm pretty satisfied with these models. I only need to add a few artillery crewmen to complete them.

Also did a few tests for the Bruenhilde transporter. Like I said it is just the SM/TL era artillerychassis. It is supposed to be an agricultural veichle pressed into military service. I added some sandbags and a piece of plastic band (the type which sometimes is wrapped arround cardboard boxes to further seal them -I have noi idea what these are called in english) which has a nice metal mesh type texture.
The sandbags are made from a sausage of grteen stuff which i placed where I wanted the sandbags. I then cut the bags the size I wanted them and finally pressed them at the centre with a round object. Then I repeated the procedure for each layer of sandbags.

I', not sure I'm completely satisfied but it is a really simple conversion so I don't mind doing a lot of them.

Cheers! :)

Warmaster, some wonderful work on this thread.

I was away for a while and so I am going back and reading some of the past threads. This one was realy fun to read as IG is my favorite army.

Keep up the good work!

Warmaster, at this rate Epicomms may as well give you a few prizes for this year's competition in advance. Great stuff, as usual.

You really don't want to know... :p ?:D ?:;): ?...oh, you were referring to EPIC!!!

The horrible thing is that I actually ought to be working on my exams project this week. However when I get back from school have to get my mind of these things for a few hours so I end up doing some meditation working on some Epic minis. Nice for resting the head for a while. No worries though: the deadline isn't untill friday so there's still plenty of time.

Vanvlak: Oh dear, I just realized that I may very well run out of ideas -or bits- before then... (Must keep secret projects a secret...)
*smacks lid on bitzbox and ties his hands behind his back using only his nose to manipulate the keyboard and mouse*

Cheers! :)

I wouldn't worry about the ideas, Warmaster, doesn't look like you're running out of steam. I can only hope you'l have all the bits you ever need, though. :D

Sorry to be bumping an old thread but I just thought I'd update here with what's in the pipeline.

First of all is of course a massive update on Krieg stuff which will be posted once the Painting competition is over. This update will include Stormswords, Howitzers, Thudd Guns, Rapiers, Siege infantry, Sappers, Flak guns, Bruenhilde transporters, Siegfried Tanks (Gorgons) and possible a siege Titan and some Ragnarok Tanks.

The Cadian army is currently at a standstill. I did complete some Storm Troopers which were painted grey in order to mix in with both my Desert forces and the Cadians. The big hurdle here is really to get the two massive infantry companies painted (64 stands). The army isn't mechanized but still recieves a suitable number of Tank and artillery companies. These has been reinforced with a few Medusas and Hydras.

Thirdly I've managed to get my hands on a few more Catachans (thanks Doc). With a few modificationns I'm now capable of fielding an entire SM2/Netepic Tactical Infantry company. I'm thinking of adding some scratch built mortars to some of the stands which should help them look more interesting. the 25 "Eggs on legs" Sentinels will probably also recieve some modifications like camo netting and such for a more "Vietnam" style appearance. Still far of in the future but I really look forward to be doing these!

Cheers!:)
