As I mentioned over in my terrain thread, I played quite a bit of Space Marine (mainly 2nd ed, a little bit of 1st) back in the day. Probably one of the favourite games I ever played, and I deeply regret getting rid of my minis.

I used to play 40k 2nd ed as well, although I owned very few minis of it. I gave 40k 4th ed a bit of a spin years back, and built a decent-sized Eldar force, which I still have, but ultimately I ended up feeling it was far more a random die-fest than I remembered from 2nd ed.

I dabbled in modern micro armour, giving Challenger 2000 a spin (too hard to get a game together) and Fist Full of TOWs (despite the similarities to Epic, something didn't quite sit right).

A while back, I started looking for something to scratch the minis itch, ideally at Epic scale, and eventually stumbled across Polyversal. After a long, long wait, I still don't have my minis (my painted forces are finally on the way, though), but I remembered a couple years back that I had a bunch of Renegade Legion grav tanks floating around, and I picked up a few supplemental forces recently, and it dawned on me that I actually have enough minis to finally get a game together.

Then, just as I was about to schedule my very first opponent, we're in lock down. :(

But, I have kept painting, and might as well show off my efforts here.

These aren't awesomely done, but it doesn't take a great amount of skill to get 6mm minis that look good on the table.

Plenty of Renegade Legion Grav Tanks
(The faded ones have been sitting out on a shelf for years. I now have some KR Multicase bags for storage, so hopefully my newer ones won't fade so bad.)

I painted these guys on the sprue, stuck to a piece of wood like a production line. First time I've tried this, and I like it. You can really power through.

Pacfed Forces from Brigade
The colour scheme is designed to be reasonably compatible with my painted minis from the Polyversal Kickstarter.

Pretty much out of minis at the moment. I have a few more Renegade Legion tanks on the way, and I'm waiting for Plasmablast to restock before placing a fairly hefty order there.

And, in the hopefully not too distant future, I will have a big pile of Polyversal OPFOR vehicles to paint.

Great range of minis from a variety of companies. The Bradley assault rigs are quite tall. Interesting possibilities.
Thanks. Very useful comparison shots.

Here's another comparison shot for you. I get the impression people are scaling for the new Adeptus Titanicus these days. The poor old school Warlords are starting to look bit puny.

So are you using these models to play Polyversal?

That's the plan. With a bit of luck, I might be able to have my first game in 2 - 3 weeks from now.

But then these are also part of the Polyversal background/universe? (sorry, not familiar enough with the lore)

None of the minis have official Polyversal stats, although the offical UN faction includes a number of PacFed minis.

I'm planning for the PacFed vehicles and Vanguard warstalkers to supplement my UN forces, while the others will be fighting as part of OPFOR.

Polyversal is designed so that minis from any manufacturer/range can be used together (as long as the scales are compatible). There is some background for an offical setting, which I actually think is pretty decent, but I'm more interesting in the game than the background.

Make sure you post the stats you come up with and any battle reports you can do. It would be real nice for the polyversal section here to actually get some activity, and I am not quite yet in a position to do anything.

I have a bunch of combatant tiles already done. I'll start a thread or two once I have a chance to upload them after work.

The main reason I actually registered here was to post some battle reports once I get the chance.

Very cool to see my minis being used in other settings.
