Very nice job with the artillery pieces.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the Tau!

Just inshed some Griffons. A bit rough but I'm happy enough with them.

I have recently experimented with GW's texture paints and have realised hat they are so much better looking than the gravel look of sand and paint. I'm now thinking that I might rebase the entire army but the idea of it is so depressing that I might avoid it and start using texture paints instead on the Tau.

Ps. I do have some limited progress on the the Tau that I will post up soon.

Those are really smart looking. Maybe stick a loader figure on one? Easy enough to snip and.file.the plinth off a kneeling one and glue the firing deck.

I have been thinking that myself, Jim. The guard I'm using are the old plastic kit IG originally from the '80s that come with the static standing position guy on the sprue. A bit basic but would add some additional detail.

Managed to finish a Stormsowrd SHT this afternoon. Not sure of their actual value in Game but decided to have one of these in the force as they look pretty. The finish on this one is a bit rough but I can't be arsed to spend any more time on it. Far too many things to get on with instead.

Painting has been neglected a bit over the past couple of weeks but should be back into a routine again for a while.

There will also be a Shadowsord finished this week before I get back onto putting more time into the Tau mega project.

He's a big chunky boi!

Love your basing as it's not too 'busy' and will help protect the tank with day to day handling. <3

Thanks, Stormwind. That's pretty much what I was going for with the basing, mainly to stop the paint wearing off with handling. I've also chosen the simple brown with the contrasting green as I find it pleasing to my eye. They're kinda 'cartoony' for want of a better adjective.

Finished off a Shadowsword for the collection but there's still another 4 SHT to paint. I'm pretty sure that like artillery, you can never have too many SHTs.
