So I have started on some of the Tau Hammerhead proxies I picked up from Onslaught Minis. Awesome figures.

Started with a Skeleton Bone primer and then a wash of GW Seraphim Sepia. Turned out far too close to the official GW colours than I intended but what can you do.

Blocking in some colours now and will start on the highlights when I get them all cleaned up.

I have six more Hammerheads ready to be primed as well as the Crisis Suits but its a bit too cold at the moment to do that.

They look good. Is that the final color of the weapons or is that just their base/under coat?

I am not 100% sure but I think that is how they will stay. I might paint a few panels in white or blue to break them up and add some energy glows

Nice clean paint job as it stand! Adding a third color or a little detailing would would really make them pop.

I do too. Total fluke though. Makes me think that my way of choosing colours needs a reevaluation

It doesn't show ip well in the photos but there are small red accent stripes on the vehicle as well. I'll be adding a few panels of colour to the weapons as well

Did a bit more painting today. Added some colour to the weapons, cleaned up some of the overpainted areas and then pumped up the red a bit so it shows better. Painted the missiles as well as the start of the glow on the fusion cannon.

Calling these done. Just the bases to do but I am going to wait on those until I have a few more units to work through

I wish I could get my fine edge highlights that clean. Well done.

Thanks. The minis help a lot. The lines are very crisp.

Thinned paint and a good brush. If I can do it anyone can :-)

Thanks for all the feedback.

I am working on the Crisis suits now. Not sure how they will work out as they don't have the same large areas to apply colour to. Might have to do a test model first to see

Starting on the Crisis Suits. Going to use the same colours but mix the placement up a bit to try to make some of the elements stand out more
