So, summer is over here in Sweden and the record heat has gone away. Also my kids are back i nschool so i have the days to myself again (i work evenings and weekends only).
Me and Norto decided to pick up where we left off and do another battle report! This time we're trying out the LatD Redux list that we're both interested in. We've found some potentially OP builds that we would like to test.

Wow, that was some lackluster shooting for the LatD! Not many battlecannons hit their mark from the Subjugators.

Turn 2: Steel Legion wins initiative.

SL2.1: Mech Co doubles forward next to coven (with the help of the SC) and fires on them killing 1 stand and 1 transport (3BM).
SL2.2: Tank Co retains and sustains on BTS-Coven killing everthing except the Demon prince, aa technical and 1 transport breaking the formation (ouch!).
LatD2.1: Coven engages sentinels killing 2 of them for the loss of 1 stand and wins the combat.
LatD2.2: Subjugator retains with the help of the SC, doubles and fires on the lone deathstrike breaking it.
SL2.3: Tthunderbolts stand down.
LatD2.3: Subjugator holds and fires on Shadowsword for 1BM.
SL2.4: Reg HQ sustains on Coven in front of it killing 3 transports, 1 technical and 6 stands breaking the formation (ouch!).

Well, that went better than expected. When Norto managed to break my deathstrikes with his second activation i thought i was done for to be honest. Buhe battlecannons of the subjugators just kept on missing their targets. Thats what you get for being perverted fineds who spend more time on S/M games than on target practise! :-P
The guard hit very well though and did lots of damage. We will swap the armies over next time and try again. On paper the LatD build seems very powerfull atleast...

Sorry if the text is more messed up than usual. My keyboard is giving up so sometiomes it skips letters and sometimes it duplicates them. Buying a new one soon.

Winter is coming Dan!!!!!

Love the names, I'm keen for round 2. Does look good on paper. Felt like it should have achieved more but maybe the strat 1 is enough to shut them down enough each turn. We can give it another go and maybe others if they like.

I have 4 laptops in this room and cannot play a pixel pushing tabletop simulator on any of them.

In my experience, spamming Subjugators isn't that scary. They don't shoot half as much as the slightly more expensive Questor, and they can have trouble winning / surviving an engage against anything big and/or tough.

Once you get two of them going at the same time, or maybe use Commander to make them support something else, they become a lot more nasty.

I wonder if dropping a subjugator and using the points to upgrade the other five to questors might be worth trying? Questors are generally more useful in my experience, but either way, keen to see a rematch
