This was my 3rd game in the Harbor City Siege Tournament that i played i Gothenburg (Sweden) this past weekend. Enjoy!

I set up my objectives on the right flank. They where 30cm a part just above the midline. My opponent set his objectives up o n the left flank far away from mine.

I concentrated my forces on my flank and only left a killa kanz mob garrisoned by the closest T&H objective. My opponent set up his forces on the right side of the table only leaving a few activations on the left flank.

Turn 2: Gargants win initiative.

G: Supa-stompa sustains on iron eagles in middle, catching 1 overlord and thunderfires under the blast templates too. 3 Iron eagles are destroyed and the formation breaks.
S: Overlord in middle advances backwards and fires on Supa-stompa for 1BM.
G: Supa-stompa doubles into forest in middle and fires on overlord for 2BM, it also cacthes second overlord under the blast template and breaks that formation.
S: Overlord on right flank advances and fires on supa-stompa stripping 4 shields and doing 1DC (2BM).
G: Gargant by blitz sustains on goliaths destroying 1 of them and doing 1DC on the other, the formation breaks.
S: Leviathan advances forward and fires on supa-stompa in forest stripping 1 shield (1BM).
G: Fighta-bombers ground attacks thunderfires killing 1 rhino, breaking the formation (only getting 1 BM from AA shots).

Turn 3: Gargants win Initiative.

G: Supa-stompa in middle forest doubles, with the help of the SC, up on hill and fires on berzerkers hiding behind it killing 1 stand and 1 rhino (4BM).
G: Killa kanz retains and engages berzerkers in a klipping assault. The combat lasts for 2 rounds. 1 Killa kan is lost and 3 berzerkers and 1 rhino dies. Supa-stompa supports the combat. Killa kanz wins.
S: Leviathan advances forward in the middle and fires on Supa-Stompa for 1BM.
S: Leviathan no 2 tries to retain but Holds and regroups.
G: Supa-stompa in middle tries to sustain, holds, and fires on thunderfires killing 2 rhinos and 1 canon, breaking the formation.
S: Overlord advances slightly forward and fires on supa-stompa standing on middle hill for 1BM.
G: Supa Stompa on right flank doubles forward and fires on berzerkers for 2BM.
S: Thunderfires advances towards left flank and fires on Supa-stompa for 1BM.

Here the time was up (We only had 3 hours oper game at the tournament) and we had to finish. 0-0 in objectives but the Gargants took the major draw by killing a whooping 1425 points to 0!

My thoughts:

This was my opponents second or third game of E:a so alot of tactical mistakes where made. I gave some pointers though. By putting his units to close together i could maximize the damage out of the Supa-stompas MW barrage a few times catching several formations under the blast templates.

I also managed to make a insane amount of armour rolls. The squats had aloooot of shooty units and fired everything on my Supa-stompas for 3 rounds by only managed 1 or 2 DC during all that time. It was really crazy.

It also really helped that i won the initiative all three turns.

The Supa-Stompas where very effective with their MW barrages and forced the squat player to hide his more brittle units.

The Great Gargant dominated the right flank and met no opposition there. My opponent should probably have concentrated on moving in on the T&H objectives on the left flank more. That would have forced me to split up more of my forces.

Fun to play against Squats but i felt kinda bad for my opponent with me making every god damn armour roll i rolled for 3 turns. That skewed the result somewhat.

Great report. I'd expect that squat list to struggle a lot against the gargants. Squats are slightly odd in that way. If they don't bring the best anti titan shooting unit in the game (a cyclops) they're actually pretty rubbish at taking out titans - the only real option is trying to use crossfire from all the battle cannons. They've got nothing that will do them any damage in assaults.

I Agree totally. I was actually very nervous about meeting the squat list first but soon realized that it wasn't that geared for anit-titan work.
