Interesting reports.
Would it be correct to categorize your 3 opponents as a newbie, someone with an AP-biased list, and someone who had never played with an Eldar army before?
Might the Squat game have gone differently with less atypical luck (less Stompa rallies, more failed save rolls) or was it a cert anyway?
Well, as Karegak pointed out almost like that anyways! :-)
Yes, The crazy dice in the game against the squats really skewed the data i think. 1 or 2 Supa stompas should have fallen to that amount of battle cannons. And that would probably had led to me not being able to deny T&H objective at least...
The Supa-stompas really where worth every point with their MW barrages. Being able to always put atleast 2 BMs on a formation was very good. The list was made with getting lots of them in without doing an extreme list that wouldn't work in a tournament (with to little activations, no airplanes etc). and 3 of them where really dangerous for all opponents.
A great gargant is supposed to be pretty damn hard to deal with, but you pay alot of points bringing it. For 325 points (25p dor "extra armour bits" upgrade) the Supa-Stompas felt very, very good.
I'm not going to decide anything until I hear the results from CanCon and how the three Gargant players did there (i thought CanCon was last weekend also, but it's this coming weekend). And I'll also ask my regular opponent take my turnament list and play against me using Marines i think (not an optimized SM list but a pretty competetive build anyways).
None of my three opponents really went for aggresivly picking off my small stuff as is wise to do when facing titan lists. I would like to see how that tactic would work against my tournament list...
