sooooooo almost 4 months later i've done zero hobby work until this week. In the last 7 days i have painted one. whole. razorback!

I had intended to take an all BT force to WoT III recently, but never got the painting done. That meant i took kinda-mostly-BT with some salamanders added on, mostly in silly placed, like 1 salamander razorback in an all BT formation.

Image
SM2 razorback mini, so very sparse on moulded detail. Still, not a bad peice, and easy to paint extra like plasma coils etc onto the blank areas.

Tune in again in 4 months time, when ill have a second razorback painted

Great as always! You've spruced that old Razerback model nicely.

needing a formation of assault marines for a game tomorrow encouraged me to get the black templars i'd been poking about for the last month based and done-ish. I say done-ish, i've decided to skip a lot of the detail – the chains, belts etc, – just not feeling it atm. But they'll be fine at tabletop distance.

ive got a formation of terminators to do in the same style that i've yet to start. I'm undecided on if the BT terminators should have white faces, and, if they do, if they should have white shoulders (on regular minis id ay yes to both, but these have robes, so it becomes a lot of white). Then sword brethren … which i think might be more detail than i feel motivated to contemplate at present :P :D

i'm looking foward to getting all the BT done so far together in the new year for a mini-army shot though, i'm at around 1500pts now i think :) i'd like to get another 1000pt of BT done … but there's vanaheim waiting in the wings now, and i did buy a lot of tiny palm trees to go with those :spin

Very cool. It will be nice to see the detail you put into them later but even now they are awesome!

Use red shoulders and cold white vs warm white between the heads and robes perhaps? VMC Silver white + Skull White over astronomicon grey base vs Cream White + Silver Grey over Bone base?
