Hi All,

Well we manage another game of epic. It was 3000 point per side and it was between Harlequin(4.2)and Emperor's Children (4.1 - Approved) ..I played the Harlequin(4.2) and Britt played the Emperor's Children (4.1 - Approved).

Thanks for running another tough but entertaining game.

I noticed the inclusion of Shadowseers this time, though the troupes tended to cower on their base-line. Were they both killed before their troupe assaulted? I did not see either of them attempt to enthrall any of the EC formations, which would have reduced the effectiveness of the EC offence / defence . . . .

That said, the Harlies rarely do well when they are the target of assaults as demonstrated in turn two. They also do better when kept relatively close to each other, even though they cannot provide much mutual support except through the various upgrades (transport, Shadowseer, solitaire etc).

Also, did you have any views on the use of Venoms and other transport? I noticed the Falcons were used to shoot up a retinue, could they have been reserved for shooting the knights?

Thanks for reading and yes it was tough, but enjoyable. I think I was aggressive to early, should have waited a turn, before teleporting in........Maybe another couple weeks before I run them again..next week will be Ulthwé Craftworld go.. :)

Yeah, the shadowseers did get used in turn three and in both assaults.. they both rolled a 1 on the D3, and both die( I didn't make there armors saves :( ). So in the end they didn't do much, so they will get another run in few weeks..

Well with one game under the belt using them.. I would take the Wave serpent/Falcons over the Venoms....WS for the armour save and better FF and ability to carry two INF. The falcon for the range attack and better FF.....I will say that I will take it out for few more games yet..
