Okay, here she is... my biggest EPIC model. Haven't put the varnish on as I want to put decals in those pale circles... I know I have Tau decals some where, but I can't find them at all... so frustrating!

The other frustrating this is when you keep finding "flaws" that you want to correct... and then more... and more... I think that way lays (more!) madness, and even though it's H.P. Lovecraft's birthday, I'm going to try not going down that spiral today! Ai ai!

So, without a Shas'O or Ethereal character (just finishing up both stands), that brings my painted Tau up to 4975 points!

With a little juggling, I can fit both characters in for a sweet 5000 points of Tau! I'll see if I can do a full army layout picture later today.

Probably going to take a break from painting Tau for a bit, though I've really found a good rhythm; I've got almost 4000 points left to do to paint them "all", though I still need a few more models to fill in some holes.

Anyway, thanks to all who took the time to look and comment and thanks to my wife and kids for letting me have the time and space to do this!

More to come!

Thanks! I'm really proud of it... and I did it all freehand!

Those walls have been fought over a lot... I'll try to showcase them a bit the next time I do up a battle report!

Just finished up the command units... along with some other support.

Shas'O and Ethereal units and some Stealthsuits and Recon Craft. I've got a formation of Pathfinders drying after a little washing, and once they're done, I'm probably done with painting Tau for a while... yeah right! :)

Depending on the lighting, I'll see if I can get a full painted army shot done today.

Okay, it's not a great shot, but it's a 5000 (plus a little extra) point army of Tau, all painted!

So fun! Really looking forward to putting these blueskins on the battlefield soon.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks again to all who came along on the ride. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for finally completing an army... now I just have to get my Kroot Hound proxies and I'll be able to continue the madness...

See you on the battlefield!

It is, it is!

I played a 4000 point game on the weekend, using the Manta, against an Eldar Titan list... the Tau kicked serious butt! And the Manta performed incredibly as a mobile firebase and co-ordinated fire director.

Just gotta decide what I want to paint next.

And thanks for the re-welcoming Markconz!
