Nice looking army. Can you tell me what are the measurements of those old Marauders, without the huge nose gun? I'm curious.

Thanks guys. It is coming along.
I'm still going to have to buy some rapiers to match my 40k version of the army. But nearly done :)

I'm away for a week now, so will have to get back to you, but they are mounted on 40mm bases so look like they would be a bit less than that without the under slung lascannon.
I can give you a more accurate measurement in a week.

Thanks moredakka, it's coming along. There is a distinct lack of armour though, which is something that I might change in the future. If I add a few chimeras, and a couple of gorgons it will allow me to play it in a few different ways. It just won't match the 40k version of the army, which is largely vehicle free.

@ Gibletgrinda, I don't have a ruler with me, but the marauder without the lascannon would be about 37-38mm long. It is just shorter than a 40mm base.

In other news, black (abhuman) platoon is done.

20 bases including the command squad. I will be able to use these as an infantry company in a DKoK list. I didn't have as many beastmen as I thought though, so I have had to make it three to a base, which is very un-horde like!

Image

The command section of black platoon. I painted the hands of the officer, which is the first model I did that to. I think I like it, but I don't think I'll go back and paint about 700 tiny hands. Other armies are beckoning now.

So that's it for the infantry! Yay! I am pretty happy to have them done.
Next up I will continue with the grav attack vehicles, and get the Wrathchild prepped and ready to paint. Still aiming to have it all done by the end of March.
:)

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. They really do help me to keep going.

Which leads nicely to this little wip shot:

The Titan looks promising, nice work on the beastmen also. Im thinking about using mine as regular infantry too (in EA), even though it seems strange as they basically have only close combat weapons. But the minis are too cool to be left out!
