A few more ideas for you.

How about a four lane motorway/bypass type thing that would give a major arterial road that could run across the city.

Also i was thinking that a Brandenburg gate/Arch de triumphe style piece leading to a government quater would be cool.

Oh and how about a gothic supermarket for the citizens to get their food etc from with a car park of course.

Have you considered doing some resin cast detail sets for these buildings, you know roof furniture like vents/aircon units, roof access elevators or stairway doors, water tanks, well i'm sure you get the idea. Resin street furniture could be an option to, fountains, statue plinths, benches, refuse collecting bins, you know general stuff to make it look lived in.

Word of warning about wide roads, I have some that I did myself. The wide roads were slightly more than 20cm wide which meant infantry would be cut down trying to cross. Instead we found units simply dug into buildings at either side of the road to trade fire...

Well sir that sounds pretty realistic to me, infantry moving across flat open ground in a city would get slaughterred in such situations. The trick is to find the right place to cross or suppress the hell out of those enemy units waiting to shoot you. :)

It would all depend on which rule set you used as well i should think.

Definitely, it wouldn't be a problem for those playing EA, really just for those playing 2nd edition.

I agree that what happened in my games was more realistic but realistic isn't always fun! ;)

I could just put some ruined vehicles / barracaces on the roads to provide some cover though...

Ultimately variation is key to a successful range. Also, larger pieces would open up the line to work with 10 and possibly even 15mm as well

Hi!

Psypher, once things are online will they have rough dimensions of the piece?

I want to construct a city scape as close to scale as possible, so dimensions would help. :)

Hi,

Yes, I'll have all the dimensions on each items description and I'll also have some assembly instructions for the larger kit buildings :)

Cheers

Hi,

There are some great ideas there that I'll definitely be looking at doing in the coming months. I was considering doing a small pack of resin add-ons. Once all the back log of designs have been done, I'll be looking at resin accessories for various pieces.

Cheers!

Just wait until they have to leg it down the road and along the new bridge I've done :P I would love to see a proper close quarters city fight Epic scale on a packed 6ft board.

I'm in the process of designing an add-on piece to the bridge so it can be linked to a 2nd, 3rd, 4th bridge section etc. It will be like fighting along a gothic version of the Ludendorff Bridge fought over in the Battle of Remagen in March 1945.

Cheers!

You been reading my mind?? I've got some rubble piles and barricades sitting on my work bench screaming to be finished and moulded for the road tile sets! :)

My point more is that on things like roads, especially when they've got a Sci Fi take on them and provided there's nothing too obvious fixing the scale (benches, lighting, etc) that scale becomes rather elastic and 6mm vs 15mm isn't as big a deal, it'll all work in practice.
