I was wondering if anyone has already made a mod (I'm guessing mainly army lists and stats) for playing a 'Cold War gone hot' game for the Cold War? (Think 1985 Fulda Gap type scenario).

I'd like to give this a go as a side game as I already have the figures and the terrain. Saves me re-inventing the wheel.

I have Cold War Commander already but I think I'd like to give this period a go with Epic Armageddon rules?

Dave

I have one in the works right now, actually. I've dug out my (and my friend's) pre-CFE agreement micro armor forces in preparation of basing and painting.

I'll be using E:A rules and making up stats for a 1984 scenario. Special rules so far are ATGW, and trying to get tactical nukes right. Basically epic mechanics grafted on a megabattle delay-action scenario and nuclear gamesmanship added on.

I thought it might be a one-off thing, but I have enough NATO allies that I think there's opportunity for multiple national forces to get overrun and irradiated ;D

On a similar note, one of my buddies (with a cupboard full of 6mm GHQ) keeps asking if a similar mod has been done for EA WWII ? Anyone ?

Cold War Cdr, Future War Cdr, Strike Legion or E:A rules would work ... IMO ... For Cold War or WWII ...

I'm sure someone here did a WWII eastern front adaption for EA.

I'd be interested in seeing a CW adaption myself.

I played WWII East Front using E:A. Great fun and great rules for that period too. No idea where's the mod now.

Looking at the other posts in this sections first page there are several threads listing EA mods to look at just below this very thread.
