Nah two of them would give 4bp if they are 2bp each. 3+/4+ sustained, 4+/5+ advance, 5+6+ double.

I think that's what we wrote?

Might have been, might have been...

Eventually settled on a silly list rather than the solid certainties of the marines.

275 Siege Company SC, Griffons, Commissar
200 Deathstrikes
175 Siege Company, Commissar
175 Arty battery
175 Arty battery

The deathstrikes have I believe a 38% of killing an eldar scout titan. One has a 23% chance of breaking and a 18.5% of killing.

I'm afraid you loose any complaining rights about anyone else's lists as soon as you take Baran Siegemasters though. I think that's actually in the rulebook :P

Oh come on - it is so nerfed! :)

http://www.net-armageddon.org/sites/def ... Gaming.pdf

If I was using the original list I could have got...

225 SC HQ, Thudd guns
200 Deathstrikes
125 Company
150 Arty battery
150 Arty battery
150 Arty battery

:)

(And no 3+ fortifcation saves :) )

I think the deathstrikes are only good at those trying to be gamey with those fearless war engines. Anyone with a sensible army has nothing to fear from them!

:)

Surely you would fear a regular guard force with them with their higher strategy rating? ...

Warhound
Infantry company, sniper, Commissar
Deathstrikes
Manticores, Commissar

Has a lot more firepower... Actually is it too late to change? :)

Eldar have SR 4, IG have SR 2. In a minigeddon sized table the revenant can double and blow up the deathstrikes before they get to fire... unless the terrain is really helpful to hide the deathstrikes.

And siegers have SR 1... Eldar titans are actually pretty much the hardest thing to kill for a deathstrike.

Meh, easier to hide than you'd think - the baran army will out activate (and out drop) the eldar, meaning that it's not that difficult to keep out of the way of a revenant, given that while they can hit the back board edge, they can't hit the entire back board, and it's simple enough to measure where they can get to and hit.

Of course, the deathstrikes don't actually need to even shoot the revenant, there are more than sufficient activations to just keep breaking it. Deathstrikes at this points level are brutal against anything with a reinforced armour save, such as russ co's terminators, and suchlike, as you're starting with such limited numbers anyway. Their best use imo is to force players using things like Wave Serpents to keep their infantry dismounted (as deathstrikes can outright break them otherwise), which then leaves them vulnerable to the arty units.

Lots of pre-tourney chatter and then at the end something that has neither fearless war engines or deathstrikes will win... as usual.

MrGonzo, what's the VP penalty for late submission like Chris has done? And is there an extra VP penalty for then changing it after seeing what the metagame is?

Meh, it's Minigeddon - i wouldn't worry too much about things like 'game meta' and suchlike. It's much more dice dependent than normal sized games of Epic and is more just a bit of fun than anything too serious anyway.

Nothing wrong with a bit of smack talk mind you ;)

Warp Spiders + Exarch 325pts
