I am member in some 10+ forums. I just ask people if they have some Aeronautica stuff they are willing to part with. Sometimes I get a response for a reasonable price. I won't buy if they ask for too much. I can only recommend to do the same. Evil-bay isn't worth it, since the Tau stuff is way overpriced there. If someone is willing to pay that much its their own fault. LOL ;D

I just got confirmation, that my Onslaught order of "Pathfinders", "Stealth Suits" and "Hammerhead" tanks has arrived in Germany and cleared customs. Oh, happy days! :spin

In case you didn't know, onslaught stuff is stocked by steel crown in the UK - in the EU (for now at least!) so no customs to worry about.

Yep. But none of the listed stuff above was available at the time I wanted to order :-) So I ordered what you can see on page one in the UK and everything else directly at Onslaught Miniatures. ;)

So, here they are: my first ever painted 6mm miniatures. Six bases of Tau Firewarriors, using proxy models by Onlsaught Miniatures and a Forgeworld Ethereal (+drones) upgrade.

They are really, really good! I'd give up any other scale painting and just stick with 6mm if I were you, these are too good!

Thanks for your kind comments, guys. Here are the latest additions

After real life has taking its toll over the last couple of days, progress was rather small. Nonetheless, core formation #1 has been finished by now, with painting its transport tanks.

Again, these are models by Onslaught Miniatures which will "count as" Devilsfish transports.

I have raised the whole tank (which is a skimmer) with stripes of plastic card.

Not sure if the large recesses on the side panels are supposed to be windows but I decided to paint them as such.

Even the rear ramps have vision slits.

I didn't go with camo on those transports but I was thinking about adding some to the battle tanks that share the same chassis.

Those are fabulous. I'm waiting for a tau/otc order to arrive from steel crown and you've just made me even more impatient.

A simple, sharply defined colour scheme that's been painted cleanly (like yours have) can look much better than a camo pattern anyway, especially at this scale.

Great work in a classic Tau style. Good basing and choice of colors. If you want to give some variation try beating up a piece of charcoal and use the tiny bits as rocks (they're already base coated :) )
