You could always use some Z scale model railway stuff?

Kurt, if you look 2 posts above you will see that I have already looked at z scale.

Huh sorry, I must have totally missed the subsequent posts somehow!

Really??!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?

Sorry for thread hijack but my other passion is Trains. They can easily be as, if not more, expensive then war-gaming. I think you could get away with N Scale/10mm track but cars and locos would need to be custom. Designing shells for N scale trains/cars wouldn't be that bad? 4 by 6 Industrial switching yard on DCC being fought over by the Imperium and Traitors. Aw grand vision of fun.

As for buildings....go for a modular Hive look? Also outpost, settlements, remote locations need more love then Gothic style. Or even standard modern city look?

I have been working on designing some buildings and would appreciate your input. Good, bad, ugly?

What do you like? What don't you like?

Thanks!

They look a bit plain. I suppose that is intentional as part of a desert vibe. Are they modular?

@Nitpick: I was looking for a primitive sci-fi colony look or maybe natives of some not so super advanced alien race. They are not modular. If I were to add more details, what would you suggest?

It seems there is plenty of Gothic style stuff available, so I wanted to do something with a different kind of feel.

I quite like these, useful generic structures.

Having a second look, I think they do what they should. In terms of detailing, I think that this could be bolted on, as suggested above. Was thinking about texture, but that too could probably be added by the avid scratchbuilder. Any move towards eg junkyard vibes or Arabian architecture would probably detract from its malleability...

Do you all like the rounded corners or should they be square? I like the rounded, but am open to other options.

I likevtje designs above but would like to see "more" on them if you understand what i mean. Make more sections, a little more crazy design and not play it safe and i would buy them for sure!

I am hoping to do 6 or 8 buildings. I'm not sure on the next ones. I haven't had time to design anymore yet. Got any ideas for more designs?

Add more section to each house, play with the structures a bit. Go bananas with the designs and see what happens.
