Yeah, the art was great, hopefully the sculptor can do it justice!

Looking at my schedule and when things are due, the fauns will be delayed until May, I just can't take a breath until the 7th when everything is handed in.

In terms of wererat troops, I have thought about it extensively:
wererat conscripts - spear and shield, cloth armor, shield is low quality
wererat warriors - slightly better armor than the conscripts, swords and shields
Wererat heavy foot - fully armored up ratmen with halberds
Ogre-bara's - 10mm tall anthropromorphic capybara's
Molerat cavalry - Wererats riding disgusting molerats
rat-ninjas - Variety of swords and throwing stars, like Slade from Shining force II, if there are any old school Sega Genesis players around
Wererat flamethrowers - 2-man team, one guy has a drum with a pump, pumping oil, the other guy has the sprayer and the flame.
Tuning gun team - 2 wererats holding a big tuning fork gun, shooting sonic waves at their enemies
Sonic Focus - A magical sound weapon, looks like a bell on its side (:P) a capybara ogre has a big mallet that he hits a gong at the back with, the sound is focused through this rune covered funnel and does havoc on the battlefield. Whole apparatus is on a wheeled carriage...something like that.

Other than that I wasn't sure. Maybe some wererat ascetics in robes with 2 hand weapons. I was also considering a chariot like device, a bar sticking out each side with a capy-ogre on each side pushing it, spikes or a spiked roller in front.

i love it so far. Yeah some mage like rats to cast their vile poison magic is a must! The chariot thing would also be really cool.

Could always build a "flame tank" that has conscripts everywhere, some big rat leader, and the ogre-baras hauling it around.

Wow all of those options sound great. The ogres, cavalry, monks and flamethrower teams seem very exciting. How are you thinkong on selling the flame throwrr units separately or as part of the main units?

I am leaving on a work trip Wednesday morning, and I feel bad about delaying the faun release. To make up for it, a WIP sculpt of the dwarf walking fortress:

May I also add my vote for wererats?

Maybe some wererat musketeers?

Have you thought about flails instead of 2 hand weapons?

In case you are looking inspiration: what about something like this

pushed by ogre-baras?

or some ratapults!

rats driving a wheeled four wheeled dodgy wooden car with each wheel one of those pet rat wheels with a rat running around, with other rats manning a catapult on the back of it.

@ firebug, you may have swayed me on the ratapults, although the rats in the wheels, I'm not sure I can deliver that at 6mm :P

Regarding ratmen style, I am going for a more in between kind of thing. To me it seems that anthropomorphic rats are either super cute, or look like they are so diseased they are about to keel over. So I am going for more of a serious look, but less disease-ridden than GW's offerings. But I promise, no hats!
