Working on it! Figuring out basing options with all the stuff I ordered...should be good though.

And yes, I will now destroy all the bastions I once protected...prepare for incoming ordinance!

Ace! I love the weathering, perfect for IW in my opinion. Great looking unit.

You have somehow made these extremely regrettable models look pretty good. Great weathering.

Thanks guys, ya most of my 40k armies have been less realistic, more bright 2nd edition type look. Got into weathering with my vampire counts and really liked the effects alot more since using washes. Figured going back to scifi id make things war torn

Anyone have experience with the weathering powders?

This rust is just the newer gw rust orange painted on by hand, and it takes a little long. Looking for alternatives. ..?

I make my own wash, i used bestial brown, blood red and blazing orange mixed with water. Look at the rocket launcher guy side profile. I painted it silver then washed with my homemade wash then dry brushed silver.

Hope that helps.

I grind up chalk pastels instead, similar results for a fraction of the cost and a vast, vast, range of colours. I'm not sure how well it would work for spot rust at epic scale though, here is an example on an epic scale mach,

Like the subtle spikes, these are looking great.

I use vallejo pigments and they are very good, recommend. Also oil color washes and AI Interactive ready made enamel weathering washes are fantastic.

I cannot more fervently recommend AK Interactive weathering enamels. They are pure magic.
