The problem with AT, Titans on Titans game, was after you designed your Titans ... it became like an Old West gunslingers' shoot-out, or 19th century naval battle ... once all your Titans were deployed. And usually it was best to fight in urban terrain as already mentioned. Those that wasted point on close combat weapons quickly learned that in almost all cases they never could get close enough to use those weapons. I'd always tell them, in modern times nobody would put a ram on a battleship when they could have heavy cannons, missiles, etc., ie: ranged weapons. Of course if you ever played 40K in the old days, the GW designers had a [silly] predilection for close combat. Why shoot someone when you can run up and hit him over the head with a hi-tech ranged weapon ? It even became dumber(?), when they put claws or a hammer on the Terminators when you could have hi-tech automatic weapons and/or missile launchers instead ... So that all being said, AT was a fun for the kids "soda"[beer] and chips kind of game. Just don't too much high level strategy and tactics ... just a lot of die rolling. Which if that is the kind of game you are looking for, go for it and enjoy ....
What's with the negative waves, Moriarity?
