Yeah, a slow internet connection will obviously have a big effect on playing games as a client. There's really nothing I can do about that.

The selection box is drawn on the server side as well, so will lag if the server or client connection is slow. In this case, as your server connection is weak it will indeed lag. Again, not that much I can do about it for now, though I could potentially look at getting it done client side, it's a vast amount of work.

Hi Zombocon,

Just tried this out, thanks for all the work you've done on this, it's a big improvement on Epic using vassal. :D

One improvement that comes to mind would be to add roughly 15mm diameter green/grey circles/ellipses to the Terrain list. Epic uses a lot of area terrain and these would be nice additions to add Rubble/trees/buildings on top of. You can use the hills obviously but I think these would make a nice addition.

Mark

Anyone got any games in lately?

Not for a while. I'm working and camping out in the bush these days and only occasionally have a faint mobile reception. I'll play more in future when feasible though.

I'm spending my free time cleaning up and painting models at the moment, but I have a half finished Sisters army done and images for squats and I'll get armies for these done later in the year.

Cool :)

Though I doubt you'll make a Symbian/Nokia Belle version, so I'll miss out on mobile Tabletop for the sake of my mobile's 41mp camera. Touchscreen controls would be welcome if they migrate to the PC version though.

Love it! Not totally sure I'd actually want to play on my phone though!!

A tablet might be pretty good though...

Don't get too excited, it's just playing through an emulator and really isn't playable

I started serching through the 15+ page thread but couldn't find the link to the program....
There only seems to be a Youtube video on page 1.

Is there actually a link to the program anywhere?

Cheers

It isn't safe to post publicly due to images and IP. I'll PM it to you in a moment.

Another PM sent. Good to see more interest :)

Speaking generally it might be slightly better (though not essential) for a new player to play someone that's already played using it first e.g Alf.

Also Chroma popped up recently in another thread for the first time in yonks and expressed interest in Tabletop, so go give him a game too. Be great to get such a veteran player back in the game.

Would you mind sending it to me as well? Seems like it may be a great way to become introduced to the E:A mechanics. Thanks!

Sorry, but no. Tabletop can be used to play any tabletop game and will be publicly released in time, but I'll only share the download with armies I've made to known and trusted people on the forum.
