Thks. I am aware of the Exodus Wars, and guess what...it's because I have seen your blog earlier. :)

However my first choice is still to use the archaic looking WW2 tanks as proxies.

I don't have any comp pics, but however, as mentioned on this thread or another, 10mm usually works for Epic as the vehicles are actually a good fit IMO. But also as I mentioned, GHQ and other 1/285th scale vehicles tend to be too small IMO ... save for big AFVs like the E-100 and Maus and the they'd be good for Leman Russes ... But for Baneblades and such you should look at Exodus Wars or DRM ... Hope that helps ...

Hello all!
I don't know if somebody has asked this already but I'm wanting to both sides of the vraks campaign. Infantry I have covered so I'm looking for
gorgons (I think somebody mentioned the excellent exodus wars range for them?)
Macharius
Centaurs (will the ww2 British universal carrier do?)
Malcadors
minotauars
Artillery pieces
I'm assuming a can cover some of that with
6mm ww1 irregular miniatures. This may sound a stupid question but will there 6mm range be the correct scale?
Thanks for any answers!

Yes, Exodus Wars makes good Gorgon proxies with the Gaia ... and they do have some Artillery that could work. If you do use Bren/Univeral Carriers for Centaurs, I'd go with 10mm. 6mm like GHQ would be too small IMO ... you'll find that with many "actual" 6mm. For some of the other vehicles you mentioned, those maybe could be filled with some models from Troublemaker Games which is a denizen of this site ... hope that helps ...

Another WW2 possibility for a centaurs proxy are any Canadian kangaroo apcs. They were built off a tank chassis so might pass muster in 6mm due to the slightly larger size. Centaurs are quite a bit smaller than say a chimera or Russ for instance.

Thanks for the answers!
This might sound weird but I feel like if I'm using ww1/ww2 models I should use them for wargaming ww1/ww2!
If however I get them in 10mm I can always wait for the baccus 6mm ww1 & ww2 range to come out and use them for my historical wargaming! That's how ill sell it to the missus anyhow........

Well to be fair a huge amount of stuff tank -wise from 40k Guard was pretty much taken from the WW1/2 and the cold war vehicles already so...

For instance Gorgon == British Mk5 with an assault ram
Chimera == Russian BMP
etc...

Hey all, was at the local hobby store today and saw this monster:

http://www.thewarstore.com/media/PIP/PIP34050.jpg

Immediately thought it might make a great Nurgle titan proxy...

Kind of pricy at about $90, but pretty cool looking.

I should note the reason I was even looking at Warmachine models is because of Ian's awesome conversions here:

Also with some Epic Guardsmen

As you can see they are the same length but rather short in comparison. I recommend basing them
