that's not a reverse half track though?

I can only find two examples anywhere, and neither are exactly sensible. I'm preferring the big wheels mechanic myself.

the 6 wheeled landing craft looks very Command and Conqueror GDI :)

Original with rear mounted turret, 6 wheel truck and snub nose all look good too.

Either of the 6 wheeled ones for me, but of the two, prefer the first one with the side doors.

I like both the 6-wheeled and quad track versions. I'd like to see a traditional half track.

I agree that a lower profile would be better, as well as more ground clearance. Not a fan of the front door. A rear door is more practical.

I like the original concept and then the reverse half track

Gimme some initial vibes on this "sketch" I'm playing with - that base is 20x40mm - focusing on really basic shapes and concepts at this point...

Looking for a mass-produced, no frills APC for the sisterhood. It's got enough room for 10 passengers and 2 crew, front and side exits.

Might have different versions with turrets, etc.

Looking at your quad I'm just gonna come out and say i hate it. What i first envisioned with this particular miniature if you where going to do a track version, is running the track over the top where the light is. This would be very similar to the land raider, it steals it's style from the british tanks of ww1. This would also leave the side exits in their spot so troops can spill out the sides.

Just my thoughts,
Blind-

I appreciate everyone's feedback.

I've been playing around for a long time, and I have to say, that the quad track keeps coming up on top in my opinion - check out this latest edition -

While still VERY rough, I see a lot of potential here, with a base that can be expanded upon.

I also think the other designs are sound, especially the 6 wheeled truck, but I'm beginning to think they may be more at home in different armies...

Thoughts?

The six wheeled truck reminds me of GW's Repressor urban pacification vehicle, which I've always been fond of. It also has tones of the Cougar MRAP which seems appropriate for these hard nosed girls.

I could very much see the quad-track as a heavy assault vehicle if you put some sponson mounted cannon on it, however.

It's growing on me, especially since obviously it's still a rough sketch and so the blank sides won't stay blank... I do strongly recommend separating the turret from the chassis. Perhaps two mounts, one where it is and one on that round thingamahoozit in the back. The rear mount could accomodate a missile launcher, radar, periscope, mortar, or blank cap.

I also still think it needs something more than just the assault ramp in front. Something for when you accelerate to ramming speed. Maybe it's just me.

That quad track has a lot of potential for variants. More than the others me thinks. That little turret needs a bit of work, like maybe just making it a fixed system and putting a mount on the rear for modular weapons. I love the ramp on the front, may not be practical but it looks good there. The only other alterations I'd like to see is maybe make the rear tracks bigger than the front--just to see what that looks like.

Other than that, this is what you should go with.

That looks better for the quad track. the other one with the covered treads and slim tread sections looked lame. This is looking a lot better.
