Ok sir here goes, all paints are Vallejo unless stated otherwise.

Main hull colours 870 medium sea grey and 830 german field grey. Tracks 863 gunmetal and eagles 998 khaki.

Originally i then painted over everything with Army painter dark tone, but as my pot of dark tone has expired and i was not willing to pay the price for a new pot i decided to find an alternative that would give a similar result. After much experimenting with various washes/shades and inks from different companies i eventually ended up mixing my own.

So in the end i came up with Vallejo 201 black shade and Vallejo 510 gloss varnish mixed 50/50 with a little water added to aid flow around the model details. Once this dries it gives much the same effect as the dark tone dip. Army painters dips are essentually gloss wood varnishes anyway and that's were i got the idea for adding varnish to the black shade. It's the varnish that allows the shade to flow into recesses and around detail.

After the shading wash is dry it's on to detail painting and decal application and then weathering. The whole lot is then sealed with your favourite matt varnish.

I hate to say it but you bought those Otterware from me and I do regret selling the, but they sat in my cupboard for a couple of years and the wife said use it or loose it! Never mind.

I am so glad they have gone to a good home and a very talented painter, they look stunning.

I have a lot of IG stuff left from PAW and may even have some Otterware left. I did have an Otterware Capital Imperialis but not sure if I put that up for sale.......let me know if there is anything you need to complete your project.
