Now that the official Epic miniatures are only available on Ebay etc thought it would be cool to see how everyone has either scratch - built or converted those much sought after miniatures in their armies.

I have a few simple ones to start the ball rolling but there will be much nicer ones out there than these...

First of all, heres my troupe of 'Shining Staples'. Made these in about ten minutes. They were used (painted of course) for Full Scale Assault 2012.

Now theres scratch-building for quick proxies like the photos above and then theres scratch building lovely, even beautiful miniatures. Yours are (as they are of course Chaos) - most beautifully disgusting!. Fantastic stuff, especially love the Toy Story style daemonic doll walker. Have bookmarked the blog site and added to the ongoing inspiration folder.

Thanks all for the thumbs up on the photos too :-). Any more more wierd and wonderful creations out there?

Photo from last years Counter Attack army. Conversions here are the aforementioned Firestorms, Old style Cobra with Nightspinner side wings and a Vampire tail fin added. The Vampire Raider has a new tail fin added from using Dark Eldar Jetbike bits to give it more of a Vampirish look.



So, a year later......(not addicted to rawl plugs I promise :0).

More rawl plug creations in progress. These are meant to be Nightspinner proxies



And Phoenix Bombers starting to take shape using the Dark Angel bike back wings and Dark Eldar skyboard bits...
