Just a quick question to those that have done this- Am I correct in thinking that if I want to print them for 6mm scale that you print them at 66% of their original size?

I have collected together a few very nice warmaster ones, and would like to print and build a huge medieval city to use to in games of mayhem, at least until I can master scratch building them!

I saw a thread on this a while back but my google-fu is weak this morning and I cant remember where I read that!

Yes, 66% is correct.

Done it myself with the 10mm Hawk Wargames buildings and works perfectly fine.
Basically, you're scaling 10mm down to 6mm by 'removing' 33%. That also makes it fit on a A4 sheet.

I was thinking of only doing the Hawk buildings to 70%. Being slightly bigger shouldn't be a problem in the 40k universe, as everything is bigger in the future, but it also conveniently converts the standard 36mm "sections" they use to build their buildings into handy and more manageable 25mm sections.

I've done a bunch at the 66% size and they're about right but 70% would be good they'll be with me on Saturday. Whereabouts did you source the Warmaster buildings from by the way.

Here are some pictures of a game we had at our club, using the Hawk Wargame paper buildings printed on 66%! Roads are original size, if i remember correctly. :)

Please, no comments on the bending roads, they'll be redone very soon, hehe

Yeah I have made these ones now and they are fantastic. After some more research I also came across these ones (these are the free ones but there are hundreds more to buy) and they are fantastic, and fit together with the others great. They come with the ability to change some of the style of building (brick/wood/stone, that kind of thing..) and its absolutely brilliant to be able to use the same one to make several different look buildings.

Well worth trying the free ones. I found that telling my printer to fit the pdf to a 5 grid per page, apposed to at 66%, then you can print them on one sheet of card and they fit in brilliant with the others. Id attempt to photo them but my photo skills are shocking!

I found the war hawk games ones, though look great, I couldn't get the dip on the roof to fit right, and I had the top corner not quite meeting up. They are ok for the price ( ;) ) but not sure Il be building any more straight from printer, more likely to cut and stick them to foam and build them that way.

Edit: I forgot to post the link!! Doh! http://www.davesgames.net/catalog-free-models.htm
