I've seen more Tau on eBay in the last week than I've seen, well probably ever. What's going on here? Have people been hoarding this much or is there some serious recasts going on here?

I'd guess it's people selling up whole collections to leave epic or just selling their stashes now the price is good.

If I had a FW tau army just waiting in a box somewhere i'd certainly be selling it now but i don't

These are definitely recasts from both sellers from poland (wlodi1160 and titan_warrior). I bought a Tau command pack from one of the accounts, and some grey knight terminators from the other. The cream coloured resin is not of the same type as some Tau which I know is legit. There seems to be less detail on them as well.

I have no issues buying recasts as the minis are no longer available. But I do have issues with being duped into paying inflated prices for supposedly new models. As recasts they should be a fraction of what people are paying. I get the impression that most people buying it up have no idea what they're buying though, and quite happily leave positive feedback.

Well if these retard prices are any thing to go by I have at least $10k sitting on my painting desk.

Why would you pay that? Even if I where a millionaire I wouldn't pay that.

FW used cream coloured resin for a long time. I have a few cream resin models I purchased from us. They even had stock of both grey and cream resin (sometime even with variations, e.g. darker or lighter grey) for some models sometimes. My eldar AI models are a mix of both types, received in single package at the time !

Yep cream coloured resin in old mini's from Forge World are normal, got ALOT of Tau at home in cream coloured resin that are original

Yes i know. I have legit cream coloured grey knights and Tau, but these from the chap in Poland aren't made from the same stuff. As I said, they are more translucent, less hard and covered in flash. the resin is more like the resin I've seen when I've bought certain forumware.
