For Thousand Sons players, I'm going to try hard to get Epic:Nemesis finished off this year so both the Sons and the Wolves will have their own supplement.

I have Cal001 and Ortron interested already, but if anyone else is keen to help out with playtesting the Thousand Sons this year I would be very grateful.

Also, if anyone has any thoughts on the list as it stands and what might be included or removed, please post here and we can get the ball rolling.

My first two ideas are:

1/ Name changes/amalgamation of the character types to make them a little easier to remember but try and keep the fluffiness as much as possible.
2/ Amalgamation of the two Defiler types.

In regards to a Titan allies inclusion, there is a Suns of Damnation list that Neal has written and it could be made an addition to the list but I am a little hesitant to include it as the list already has a lot of MWs and it may be prudent to test the list more without Titans first. If they go in I would like to remove the BP weaponry for starters and focus the list to point-attacks. I prefer to not give a list the kitchen sink.

Congrats Dobbsy and well done to Neal for his work to date.

I've always like the TS but have been playing other armies of late, guess its time the Space Egyptians come out of their box.

Anyone know of some good proxies for the towers and their bigger brothers? I think WarmasterNice did some conversions a long time ago but an off the shelf solution would be great.

Also, Dobbsy, if you remove the AA defiler is the intent for the list to rely on flyers alone for counter air or are you looking to add in a hunter or similar AA platform?

We have at least 1 Thousand Sons player lined up for our 4 week campaign in June to help with play testing.
He's putting the army together now. He is new to Epic but a long time gamer so should pick things up quickly.

ortron - I have a bunch of bits left over if you need some parts. The majority of parts were from cheap jewellery and beads etc.

Mate I just checked out your TOEG12 and that's some great work. I'll PM you ref the left over parts, they look great and would be happy try and replicate.

Dobbsy,

Anything else apart from the defiler we should avoid testing?
Also, I probably won't get a game in for a little bit due to work interrupting our gaming group (how rude...)

No mate just test whatever else you feel like. 1K Sons batreps are rarer than hens' teeth. i.e any will do :D
So long as you can give your views after the battle on the units you used and their interaction I'll be happy :)

If it's any good, by summer this year I start building/playing a 1k Sons force based on the eUK list.
So far, i start with a 'Reaver List' so if titans will be included I could offer some playtest help :)

Fair enough on the titans. I'd like to assess how the list fairs without titans first though. If it's missing something then we can look at adding them in.
