Hi, I need some advice on how to get an Venerable Dread to my Iron Hands (NetEpic) army.

Existing models, converting or inspiration, anything goes.

Tried to search this and other forums for some pictures or similar but without luck (or skill)

My first thought was to take an ordinary epic armageddon dreadnougt and pimp it up a little with plasticard and an assault-cannon from an old sentinel but I'm not sure that will work...

Hoping someone already done this so I can copy :)

I personally use plastic contemptor dreads for venerables. They are OOP but fairly common on eBay.
Pimping one of the current models with banners, gold paint, eagles and other bits is a great way to add something special as well.
don't discount "counts as" with any ordinary dred model :D

If you've got plenty of the plastic Dread I'd use the metal one and vice versa

Thanks for the suggestion but the plastic contemptor dread is just to easy ;)
I don't have a lot of stuff (yet) but I'm planning on using the metal ones as ordinary dreads.

Painting it in gold and adding a banner is perhaps the way to go...

Cut up one of GW:s current dreadnoughts and added some plasticard plus one head.
Will be needing some green stuff and some paint but I'm kind of pleased with the result so far.

Would one of the DRM walkers be too big for this? Its been a while since I took mine out of storage and I suspect that they are MBT sized.
