Now that those cute little tankettes from the friendly water mammal are sadly OOP, I need another source of tractors to finish off the counts-as DKoK stands on the current guard pile of lead. As I already have a mismash of differing styles (open topped and cabins) as well as a few Trojans which are a good stand in I feel that I can continue mixing everything up to get the number of stands I really need (5-10 more would be perfect).

Looking in the way back machine it's pretty clear that the old french FT-17 Tank from WW1 is the source of inspiration copying that GW started at when they put together their model so I figure they'd make a good stand-in. The only ones I have found that look the closest to what I want are GHQ line but
1. I am not so sure as to relative sizes to GW products and
2. If I was to go with them I really need a dozer add-on which so far I've failed to find anywhere

all that being said I figure I'll raise a flag up here and see if anyone has any hands on comparison with these and/or suggestions on dozer blades or even better, a ready made alternative out there.

thanks!

That french tank may be a bit small i think, i haven't got any of those but GHQs models look small alongside GW stuff.

Personally i think the Tracteur Blindé 37L (http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/fr7.html) would be a nice stand in for Ceunters/ Trogans. Build up the hull a bit to add a troop compartment and go from there.

Edit-

Just thought of the LVT 2, i think it would be perfect for Ceunters. Idk about the scale though

You could glue some of thos tracteur's dobbie71064 was talking about use a little greenstuff and just make it a little bigger that way? I hear ghq is really small compared to GW.

You may want to try 10mm ... like a UK Universal Carrier ... http://www.thewarstore.com/Pendraken10mmWWII.html

Hey Jimmy how about some of these, GHQ M9 ACE from the modern range next to a OOP proxy centaur.

Size wise it's not that bad and it comes with a dozerblade too. ;)
