I looked through the discussions about this beastie in the past and noticed nobody mentioned that it can drop 7 BP by itself at 95cm. Double (50cm+15cm deployment) + 30cm range for the cluster spines and that's 2 templates w/ an extra BM to boot hitting at 5s and 6s (likely to hit more than one fm). Not enough range for a first turn deployment zone nuke, but still amazing.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: you can only field 3 in 3k games. The armyforge creator wasn't highlighting that I was over the maximum, soz

that is a little zany...

the weapons for the onachus list are quite different from the ones i used as a base for my bio-titan list.
cluster spines as as a 4BP weapon seems pretty severe (compared to the rusalka version, in which cluster spines are a 4x AP4+/AT6+)

Yes, also the dominatrix with its 60cm 3BP MW attack! Just sit back and sustain. Because that's how tyranid bio-titans fight, right? Sit back because of their v/ low DC and shoot stuff.

I've always felt the need to move the Dom forward in my games with her. At least a double on the first turn and a double or advance the second. The 60cm MW barrage hasn't felt over the top yet, not more than say a Supa Stompa.

No worries, I will test her tomorrow anyway. As for a 7BP beasie... any thoughts? There aren't many fms that can put out 7 BPs, and usually those are quite vulnerable through bad save, poor cc/ff scores, etc

I haven't run any tests with the big bugs yet. Let me know if it's as bad as you think.

If it's too good we can look at dropping the Cluster Spines to 3 and Bile Launcher to 2BP, but all that's going to do is drop it from 2BM to 1 automatically. Alternatively maybe the weapons can be jousted around between the two bio-titans so the 'dule ends up without another BP option.

I have played a lot with the Hierodule. The Hierodule usually doubles for a barrage in turn 1, doubles for another barrage in turn 2 and puts itself in good position for support attacks. In turn 3, it can get stuck in, grab objectives or keep shooting. I have found it to be good in all my games. The only time it has gone down was to excessive Marker-lit Tau fire.

The short range is not that much of an issue, since it is best used following the Synapse swarms anyway. However, with all the doubling and if the enemy sticks to cover, it does not kill that much. It is mostly useful for adding multiple BMs where you need them and to provide support/threat for your advance.

Note: @350, you can only afford two in 3K, and if you pick the Dominatrix as well, only one.

I intend to try fielding two sometime.
