Very Nice work !!!! Image BTW - Try eBay ... I've got some of the old Ork Decals of all types. Some of 40K Ork bike sheets and such have some very nice small decals as well ... ImageImageImageImage

Thanks for the suggestion but I bought the Forge World decal sheet which has some very tiny transfers. In fact the black and white checks on one of the gunwagonz was from the FW sheet.

Also, after some experimentation I discovered that soaking the old decals in Micro Sol for 30 seconds or so instead of water successfully lifts them off the sheets. I'll post some pictures when I've finished my banners.

Here is my final submission for June: a Mekboy Gargant which I intend to use as a Supa Stompa in the E:A list. I really like this model which is full of character and I was lucky enough to pick up an unpainted one off ebay.

I must confess, the model isn't 100% finished but as it is 1 July I thought I would post it anyway. The model is painted to a decent tabletop standard so I think it counts as finished for the purposes of TOEG although I do intend to add more details over the next couple of days.

June's submission:

Blitz Brigade (150)
Kult of Speed (200)
Supa Stompa (250)
Total = 600

Now I just need to paint up a Stompa Mob to go with him.

All the best,
Andy.

I've painted up another Blitz Brigade, this time with an Oddboy upgrade. The lifta-droppa on the Speedsta will count as a Supa-Zap gun as both weapons are MW3+ and Titan Killer D3 (going off the lifta-droppa stats listed for the Great Gargant).

I plan on doubling up this unit by adding a few Flak Wagonz along with some more Gun Wagonz in order to make it more survivable in battle.

It's been a while since I've posted on this thread. I've been busy finishing my Ph.D (which I submitted today!) and I've also been sidetracked by other projects (which you can see on my blog). However, I haven't totally forgotten about my orks. Recently I have converted some ork boarboyz. These are the first Epic models I have ever converted and they certainly were quite fiddly.

Image

Initially I was going to simply use the stock models but, once I started attaching them to bases, I realised how boring they looked all being the same. Normally this wouldn't bother me and my Eldar army is made up of stands of mono-pose models. However, because my ork models use a mix of models on each stand the boarboyz didn't look right all being the same so out came a sharp modelling knife and some clippers. Basically all I have done is cut away the torsos of some of the riders and replaced them with the upper halves of various ork models. Banners cut from the ork warlord model were also added for further variety. I then used green stuff to fill in the gaps and to sculpt a fur texture to match the rest of the boar.

In most game these will simply be proxies of a Kult of Speed but if I ever decide to use the Feral Ork list then they will be a boarboyz unit with a Weirdboy.

Just read through the whole thread. Or, rather, looked at the lovely pictures. Very clean and vibrant!

Thanks, guys. I'm glad you like them.

@Rastamann - These are actually fairly simple conversions. I'm new to converting myself but it is something I am interested in getting more involved with.
