I'm at a point where I need some advice from you moldmakers out there.
This is an side view of about where I am on the Warbaruqe right now. I've also added the guns to the front, but that's inconsequential for the purpose of this discussion.

Now, my question regards placement of pour channels (and overflow channels, if needed). I want to do this before detailing the rear tower so I can avoid destroying detail with the channel.
Here is my thought:

The model would be placed in the mold with the face the pour channel (thick grey line) is shown coming off of parallel to the side the channel enters. I'd be doing a single pour, and cutting it open, so the approximate cut line would follow the thin black and grey line: from the reaemost point, running down the side of the body above the runners, then across the front of the model including where the cannon are now (grey section). THis would allow the mold line to avoid as much detail as possible for ease of cleaning, and orient the model in the mold so any air bubbles should flow up the pour channel. It would allow the top of the mold (from the point of view of the model) to be relatively undercut free, but require the bottom to be flexed out.
Watcha think?
