Tyrgon:
The Bio-Electric Pulse has veryhigh numberof shots (6) and good strength. I would give it +1EA for FF

Tryanofex:
Teh Rupture Cannon should have only one shot not two. Perhabs it could warrant an AP5+ value too making it 45cm AP5+/AT4+.

Harridan:
Really the Bio-Cannon justifies 2 x AP3+/AT4+ not just 2 x AP4+/AT5+.
Also the Harridan is a Scythed Hierodule with more Wounds (+2) and Wings AND the two Bio-Cannons of the Barbed Hierodule*. DC3 with RA4+ or DC4 with RA5+ is justified (i prefer the latter) as well as same CC as the Scythed Hierodule and FF as the Barbed Hierodule.

Harridan
Type Speed Armour CloseCombat Firefight
War Angine 35cm 5+ 6+ 4+
Weapon Range Firepower Notes
2 x Bio-Cannon 45cm 2 x AP3+/AT4+ -
Titan Scything Talons (base contact) +1EA (TK1)

Damage Capacity 4. Critical Hit Eddect: The Harridan is killed all units within 5cm take a hit on 6+.
Notes: Skimmer, Transport (4 Gargyoles).

*according to IA Apoc 2nd Edition.

For comparison:
Hierodule: T8, W6, Sv3+
Harridan: T8, W8, Sc3+
Hierophant: T9, W10, Sv2+
Trygon/Mawloc: T6, W6, Sv3+
Tyranofex: T6, W6, Sv2+
Tervigon: T6, W6, Sv3+

Ya, I get the mass-point thing, my notion was that with a save and toughness in IA4 that was worse than the 'dules

Mass Points were definitely more important than Armour Saves at least.

I played a lot of 40k around the time that IA4 came out, and had a 40k nid army with a Trygon.

Looking at the model we have for it too I think even DC3 is a stretch. Ya, the FW one is huge but given its rarity (and the lack of a model for the Vituperator) I'd rather stat that as the Vitu.

Vituperaptor should be removed as the Tyranid Codex is very, very clear that the Harridan is the largest Tyranid atmospheric flying creature.

FW model is pretty much equal in availability to the early 90's metal model, and is much more available to members of this forum.

I agree with BL on stats. DC4 with 5+ RA (As it's been for about 4 years at this point), or DC3 with 4+ RA, the former being more preferred.

The Trygon's already rolling 2@FF5+. I don't think it needs a third, sure the 40k stats have it at 6 shots, but they're not better than a heavy bolter and has a 12" range. 2 Heavy bolters is around a 5+ or 4+, which 2@5+ is close enough to.

The rupture cannon is 2 shots at S10 in 40k, that makes for 2x AT4+ given the pattern's I've seen. Look at Railguns, they get AT4+ with 1 shot. AP5+ wouldn't be out of the question comparing it to an autocannon 40k stat-wise but the Tyrno is Zombo's call not mine.

I've already gone over the Harridan DC/Armor reasoning in the post before this one. On the Bio-cannon, I'd rather not go with the crazy Apoc stats for it (6 shots at S10!). Not sure why you think they're only worth 2x AP3+/AT4+, if we did go that road I'd put them at 3x AP4+/AT3+. I'd rather stick to a closer representation to the SM/TL stats here anyway.

My system says:
1-5 shots = 1 Epic shot (where 3 shots or a template is the minimum for having an AP value. 7+ Strength and only 2 shots gives an AP value too, see Autocannon, but worse than with 3 shots)
6-11 shots = 2 Epic shots.
Look at the Vulcan-Megabolter. 15 shots in Wh40k, 4 Shots in Epic. Thats 3.75 Wh40k shots per Epic shot.
The 6 shots of the Wh40k Bio-Cannon are 1.6 shots in Epic. Generously rounding up it is 2 Epic shots. 6 shots is the benchmark for a second Epic shot.
The Strength of the weapon seems to have nothing to do with it. It is only relevant for the AP and AT values.

In IA4/40k4e:

Carnifex T6, W4, Sv3+
Trygon T7, W5, Sv3+, MP1
Heirodule T7, W5, Sv2+, MP2
Harridan T7, W5, Sv3+, MP3

In Apoc/40k5e:

Carnifex T6, W4, Sv3+
Trygon T7, W5, Sv3+
Heirodule T8, W6, Sv3+
Harridan T8, W6, Sv3+

Proposed for EA:

Carnifex 4+RA
Trygon 5+RA at 2DC
Heirodule 5+RA at 3DC (where I'd put them anyway)
Harridan 5+RA at 3DC

Harridan has 8 Wounds now. +2 Wounds compared to the Hierodule.

OK guys. I have just gone through with the asbestos and fire extinguisher and removed what I consider the heated remarks which contribute nothing to the development.

Please keep this civil and respectful. It's getting tiring.

That one is a truescale 5:1 reduction of the 40k harridans. They're really supposed to be that big!
