So, this will be the new forum which has yet to be created? This will be the home for a variety of 6-10mm games I take it? Among these games, there will be a section for Epic.
Not exactly. There was talk about a new forum to start with. However, that would have meant a 'restart' on the boards, starting again from scratch. So, no new boards will be created. We will have the SG boards which are a seperate section and will deal with the Specialist Games, and these boards that will cover all army scale games, and also have an 'Epic Development' section as well. This means that no-one needs to register for anything else, and I have integrated the boards here with the main site, so the login and password for these boards will also log you into the front page and give you access to blogs and so on. The result is - I hope - one login system and boards that people are familiar with and have been built up, with access to the main site with blogs, army scale game discussion, and Epic development all under one roof.

Okay, that makes sense. I just think that they could do a lot more with the forum software at their disposal, but that's not for discussion here, so I won't get involved in that.
Well, I am always happy to chat about ideas and feedback. Drop me a PM and let me know your ideas. I also know that you have had reasons for being away from these boards for a bit, and I would love to hear your opinions and viewpoint.

So Epic will also have a place here alongside the rules development section? That seems okay on the face of it, but what will be the difference between Epic discussion on the new forum and Epic discussion on this forum? Surely it doesn't make sense to have three fora (if you include the SG site too) for discussing Epic, or am I missing something, and there will be a difference?
As I mentioned above, both army scale discussion (and Epic is an army scale game) and Epic development will all happen here at the same place, just in different sections. SG will continue to cover all of the Specialist Games, and any additions that appear to fit - Gorka, Space Hulk, AI from FW, etc. Its not a perfect system, and potentially Epic discussion could fit into the army scale board, the development board and the SG board. Thats one reason for keeping army scale and Epic development in the same area, so threads can be moved around and referenced easier.

It would seem more logical to have one board for Epic as it stands, this board for Epic as a rules development and fan based rules board, and then SG for well, whatever you and Lex decide it should be used for. BFG and similar specialist games perhaps?
Your scenario above is actually very close to how it will work, except that the first two boards will be the same board with two sections, hopefully making it even easier. Thats the plan, anyway.
