Does a cult of 15 - 25 obliterators all together concern anyone in so far as character?

In an Iron Warriors army?
Not at all.

While this may be 'in character', it may need carefull judgement when adding such a formation to the list - consider the extensive debates on Oblits in the past.

I am sure that the Chaos player would *love* to be able to teleport a large, all-fearless, all infantry, RA4+ formation onto the opposing Blitz - - - but isn't it rather cheesy? ;D

but they can already do that with chaos terminators right? and cheaper too.
although, it doesnt come with AA support (thats kinda scaring me actually, oblits as air support. a formation of 5 of them, thats putting out 15 6+ shots right?)

It would not be too different from other Cult lists. ::)

Well, you just add an Oblit or two to the Terminators, and then they've got AA support...

Not as good as 300 points for 2 formations of Hydras, averaging 4 hits in two volleys, when compared to 2.5 hits in one volley from 5 Oblits.

It's really not as scary as it sounds if they need 6's to hit.

Each of the Obliterator's abilities when taken individually doesn't look all that scary.
Put together they may for just about the best infantry unit in the whole game, one that's had to be hit repeatedly with the nerf bat to balance it.

i dunno, the hydras arent fearless with a 4+ RA, and dont teleport. and 15 dice is a massive psychological deterant. not a whole lot is likely to be willing to fly through either, but it takes a lot more to supress, let alone actually kill, the obliterators.

This is true. But, 6 of them costs 40 points less than 4 oblits, 2 of them will be Fearless, and they do have twice the movement rate.

(Yes, I'd rather the formation of 4 Oblits, even though I know they'd just get nickelled-and-dimed until broken with blast markers if I did try and use them.)

No indirect fire on the Ordinatus?
No price fix for the Stormsword/Decimator?
(Decimator is notably better than the Stormsword but they're the same price)

Indirect fire added to Ordinatus

SHT -I'm not keen on upping the Decimator price as its 225 in the BL and I don't consider it undercosted at that price. However the Stormsword is noticeably inferior. I'm leaning towards dropping the Stormsword.

I've always held that the Decimator is probably ~25pts too cheap in the BL list, but I'd at least do the latter then.
Upping the initiative rating to 1+ might be worth that 25pt gap under normal circumstances, but not when it brings the unit into the same price band as a Decimator.

Or drop the cost of the Stormsword? 200 points? I kinda like the Ignore Cover weapons. I think it works along with the other stuff that's going on with that motif.

That or replace it with a new SHT. Maybe? Something to mirror the Ordinatus Minorus or somesuch. Maybe something with direct-fire rocket barrages, or the big brother of the Doomblasters.
